Blueberry Bagel

Friendly staff were happy to check the blueberry bagel ingredients for us - which was vegan.
Being a bagel it was dense and not as flavoursome - but still a welcomed treat after walking around the castle and gardens in the middle of summer.
Located on the bottom floor of a shopping mall - easy to find.

Bagels tasted good but not outstanding

Good soft bagels, savory one (plant based cheese with pepper) was a bit sweet what i didn't like. The blueberry and maple walnut ones were good.

Other vegan options we didn't try: cinnamon raisin, plain, soymilk edamame, sesame

There aren't any vegan bagel sandwichs or muffins!

No longer has the vegan bagel sandwich

I had hoped to grab the vegan bagel sandwich with tomato, avocado and lettuce mentioned in the description before getting on a Shinkansen. It turned out, however, that they no longer have a vegan or even just vegetarian option on their sandwich menu. The staff were reluctant to make one on request.

It seems that some of the plain bagels are vegan. However, even the "savoury" ones seem to contain sugar, maltose or corn syrup and every single bagel is prewrapped in a lot of plastic. That was not a lunch option for me.
