I had the Falafel Wrap, which was good. I also enjoyed the chai latte with cashew milk. However, the prices are quite high in my opinion.

Super nice - Edit
This place is an absolute gem. 90% of the menu is vegan and everything is super healthy with fresh local ingredients. Great veggie cream soups and bowls, super nice staff and they are taking care of sustainability. No plastic bottles of water. Reusable bottles for juices etc and a lot of healthy homemade fermented veggies, cashew and almond cheese etc. They also serve organic wines😄

A breakfast oasis. - Edit
I visited their other locations, Riverside was my favourite. I enjoyed the level of activity - there are plenty of people in and out. There is tons of tables, you can sit indoors or outdoors. The upstairs patio is shaded and a wonderful space to eat slowly and read or make art. Plenty of patrons spent lots of time there working on their laptops.
Read moreI felt comfortable to stay a long-time each time. It’s nice to have an oasis to rest amongst the busy city. You have wifi, plastic free drinking water. Upon leaving they were able to refill my reusable water bottle for me.
Vegan and gluten free labelling built into the menu. Lots of options. Smoothies were nice, so was the matcha. You’re paying a more than the standard price around town, but as someone with dietary restrictions it’s a choice I am happy to make.

Most of the menu is plant based - Edit
Place can be difficult to find as there seem to be multiple areas named "Backyard Cafe" in Phnom Penh. Need to specify in ride hailing apps to go to the one on Street 246.
Read moreThere are two floors where you can eat inside, and there are tables outside where you can sit as well.
Menu is via smartphone. I had the vegan cauliflower mac and cheese. There was a lot of cauliflour in it and not that much mac and cheese. Nevertheless, it was good. I also had protein balls and coconut.
Overall, a good place. The staff were kind. There is meat served here but the menu seems to be mostly plant based, so it is refreshing to see an omnivore place where animal products are a minority rather than a majority.
Pros: Plant based food are normalised here

Lots of vegan choices - Edit
I only came here once during my stay in Phnom Penh, because the BKK1 branch of the same restaurant was much closer to where I was staying. They have identical menus, and the one meal that I got here was just as good.

They have good vegan options. Wide range of healthy desserts. The food here is very pricey, so we've stopped eating here for the most part.

Pretty place - Edit
I enjoyed the atmosphere and look of this restaurant. It is very calm and serene, which was perfect for a break during my first day in the hustle bustle of Phnom Penh.

Looked so promising, but the food was underwhelming - Edit
I came with high expectations, but the burger I tried underwhelmed me. For the premium price I paid, I was expecting big portions and amazing flavours. Unfortunately only the first was fulfilled. Overall, the prices are relatively high compared to other vegan places. The coconut yoghurt and cream cheese are very tasty and I come back for them regularly.

Worth every penny! - Edit
I’ll start with what this place isn’t. It isn’t cheap; it doesn’t feel at all local; and it doesn’t serve Khmer food. So if you are only going to be in Cambodia for a few days and want to have a local experience, go somewhere else.
Read moreBUT, if you are here longer and have a craving for obscenely good, healthy food that is easily on par with what you’d find in major cities on the west coast of the US, then this is BY FAR, the best place I’ve discovered in my 6 weeks in Phnom Penh. Although it’s expensive by Cambodian standards (though comparable to other places that cater to westerners), prices are probably around half of what you would pay in the US for this level of quality. I came here on multiple occasions and had the tempeh sandwich, abundance bowl, digestive smoothie, chocolate coffee smoothie, and the brownie. Everything was spectacular, and I wish they were eligible for 5 stars.
Pros: Spectacular quality, Nice ambiance , English-speaking staff
Cons: Expensive relative to local food

Cute place! Came here after trying their all vegan sister cafe Vibe, as it was a lot closer to our hostel. Came here with omnivores and they all enjoyed it as well. Lots of vegan options available. Really enjoyed the bowl I got. Fresh ingredients used and tasty iced coffee with cashew milk.

Very nice! - Edit
Portions and nutrition are both good! Went here twice and didn’t feel let down. They could work a bit more on their flavors, but it’s not lacking enough that I’d rate it below four stars.

Unfair portions - Edit
My friend and I both got the avocado toast for breakfast. I ordered it on GF bread ( $1 charge) and she had hers on regular bread. When our food came out, I was extremely disappointed in the portion sizes. I don’t mind paying extra for GF bread, but my piece of toast was less than half the size of hers with less avocado and fewer toppings to match. The flavor was good, but I would not recommend ordering this bread.
