Poor quality, poor service (rude abusive manager), expensive given small portions. Some vegan dishes are NOT vegan! - Edit
Rude service, mediocre food, and not strictly vegan - the vegan dishes are cooked with normal cream and butter, and the naan apparently is made with egg too, and the staff knew this but simply did not care and were very rude about this (my partner and I did not cause any fuss etc, never asked for or suggested any discount, and paid our bill in full, we simply and politely pointed out egg and diary are not considered vegan and hence such dishes should not be labelled as such on the menu as very strict vegans could get upset if they ate them, but the manager called Mo was extremely rude, did not know the difference between vegetarian and vegan, and you can see his bad attitude reflected in replies to others and judge for yourself).

Lastly, this is supposed to be a South Indian vegetarian restaurant, but as other reviews have mentioned elsewhere it is not very authentic or good, it is simply branding in order to be a little different, and most people who never had South Asian food won't know any different.
I think most of the positive reviews come because of the constant reminder from staff to leave a 5 star review (it was at this point we brought up the vegan issue), and frankly when we were there the service was poor and most diners were not that happy anyway.
And to the manager, don't worry about writing to tell us not to come back, because we won't, and usually we'd never write a bad review as we believe in supporting small businesses, but your terrible behaviour and terrible customer service ensured we did.

Pros: Veg/Vegan effort, even if just for money not ethos
Cons: English owner is not veg/vegan in lifestyle, Very small portions given expensive prices., Veg/vegan is mostly branding gimmick for money.

Hello there it looks like you have never been to this restaurant. The picture you show clearly say VO that means it can be made vegan. And how can be so sure they use egg. You are from some other restaurant and want tarnis image ot this one

What a crock !!! This fool has been slating us with a variation of these lies for a few weeks now. They have lied on every social media platform there is and we are sure it's a competing restaurant that isn't very good at all. They don't comprehend that we have vegan options for any dish that uses butter or cream ( of which, there aren't many ) We have never used eggs or even had them in our building. I will never lay down and let a faceless troll lie and spread untruths about what we are so proud to produce. Please do as this misguided hater advises and check out our menu on www.babooji.co.uk

Read moreYou only need to read the negative reviews from others online and the replies from the restaurant to see the restaurants bad attitude, rudeness, and poor service. They also lied our bad review is left from competing businesses, or images are copyrighted/fake/etc, to get them removed from google etc., and even sent us abusive messages directly, which is why we made the effort to write online.
There's no point in dialogue with a business that does not care about it's customers, only about negative online feedback (and we did try to resolve things amicably in the restaurant but just got verbally abused by the manger).
Anyway, peace and blessings to everyone. We sincerely hope the restaurant improves and is successful, but it is not for us.

The restaurant works hard to remove 1*/2* feedback, but you can see for yourself the same issue in this 5* review by David Sheath (reviewer was smart to give 5*, not less, to stop the review being removed, and has 81 reviews so is obviously credible).

Babooji, the restaurant run by liars who care more about negative online feedback than any individual real customer in their restaurant. Disgrace.

From all your comment I understand you have never tested good Indian food i hope you try this restaurant one day then you know what real Indian food is all about
