Challenging Business - Edit
Bab Cafe has been consistently in the local news for their poor reviews from the health department, consistent issues with food safety and staffing. They've tried to expand to serve Tesla workers and food quality needs to be a focus

So good but please offer vegan Kimchi! - Edit
I had the classic bowl with tofu. They don’t have a ton of vegan options but the food was very good. My only gripe was no vegan Kimchi, a little expensive as well

Cons: Expensive, No Vegan Kimchi!

One of my favorite restaurants for vegan food! - Edit
This is one of my very favorite vegan options, not to mention a great place to go with mixed company. The restaurant is cute and clean, the staff is great.

Great Bibimbap Shop - Edit
I am such a huge fan of Korean food so I was thrilled to learn that a spot like Bab Cafe existed in Reno. Their name is taken from bibimbap, the popular Korean mixed rice dish.
Read moreWe ordered to-go two different bowls: classic and fresh. The classic contains rice, veggies, and all the standards of a bibimbap. For my "fresh" tofu bowl ($10), it substituted some of those veggies for fresh greens and brown rice. Although it's "fresh," they do use pan-fried tofu so be careful if you are trying to avoid too much oil or anything deep-fried. It wasn't heavy at all.
I absolutely loved my tofu bowl with their gochujang sauce (vegan friendly). It was something I could likely make at home myself but having it prepared for me at a restaurant with the sauce was deelish. They give you a lot of food too for the price so I was super satisfied.
The staff here were extremely nice and accommodating. They really respect your dietary restrictions, letting us know what was made in the soup, which sauces were vegan, and asked us if we could bag my vegan meal with the one with meat. It's small things like this that can really make a difference in your experience.
Limited parking is available on the street but you're likely able to find a hotel nearby where you can use their parking for free to grab the food.
Pros: Staff are conscious of what is vegan

Yummy! - Edit
This is vegetarian but they are more than willing to adjust the food to make it vegan. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are so many options to choose.

Lots of veggies - Edit
If you’re the type of person that gets a hankering for a heap of veggies on vacation, this is your place! I ended up eating at the cafe twice. I was staying at the Silver Legacy for a work trip and it was a quick walk over to get something filling to eat. I appreciated that the offering was a bit different than most cafes and centered around Korean food.
