Vegan punk bar - Edit
Vegan activist bar with punk-hardcore music vibes.
Read moreThey serve traditional spain homemade food on it's vegan version plus some other classic fast food recipes like durum or hamburgers.
Don't expect whole healthy food, you're here cause the amazing flavour. It's not something I considered bad btw.
They play punk and hardcore so is pretty wild for people who love this music. I fuckn love it!
Overall it's a total five stars. You have to go there at least once!
Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Vegan Ambience
Cons: Always full... Arrive early! , Expect at least 20-30 min until get served, They brought starters and mains at the same time

Decent lunch - Edit
Stopped by this spot because we heard from guide it was good. Super popular spot but we managed a table anyway, but those who were later in afternoon either waited or left. Set up for groups of 2 and 4. Full vegan comfort food menu with good portion size and lower prices. Tastes were good and made to order. Not super exciting flavors but tasty and filling. Our only complaint was the sound volume. Between the music volume and everyone shouting over each other it wasn't a place to be able to chat while you ate. We actually measured volume at 80 to 85dB. I know hearing protection is not a thing in Spain but feel sorry for the staff who will have hearing loss from it. If you don't mind club volume then you are fine to visit. Vibe other than that is all welcome which is refreshing.

Chill vegan bar - Edit
My friend and I went here on the last night of our trip before heading home and it was the perfect last meal. We ordered a ton of food and just hung out. We loved the loaded fries and quesadillas!! It was such a chill bar and the staff were so friendly.

The good ratings are unbelievable. - Edit
We went to the bistro with anticipation, because the ratings sound really promising.
Read moreWe came to the restaurant at 8:30 p.m., where a very bad-humored waitress stood behind the counter. When ordering, she is chewing gum and seemed a bit in a bad mood. I didn't want to be put off by this and still gave the whole thing a chance. We ordered onion rings and Hummus as a starter that were really delicious. BUT: When the Dürum and the Baguette came we were just shocked. The seitan in both was spongy and tasteless. IT felt Like the baguette had only three ingredients: pimentos, saitan and bread. It was really hard to eat. I can't understand the good reviews at all. When we managed to eat the main course, we wanted to have the rest of the fries, the 4 writing bread, the rest of the onion rings and the hummus packed. That was apparently a mistake: the bad-tempered waitress literally slammed the packed food on the counter. I just feel so uncomfortable in the situation. My husband and I have been vegan for several years and keep testing vegan restaurants and Courts, but we have never seen anything like it. I would have rather give only one or zero stars, but unfortunately that was not possible.
Pros: Delicious hummus & onion rings , Good location and nice interior , Pure vegan restaurant
Cons: Poor service , The food wasn't very tasty.

Authentic Spanish tapas with an animal rights vibe - Edit
The place has a real authentic feel to it, almost like a dive bar. It was clear that animal rights was at the forefront of their minds which is amazing to see as quite often vegan restaurants these days are health or junk food focused
Read moreThe food itself was amazing. Authentic Spanish tapas. I had the calamari which was scarily close to the real thing and croquettes. I’m just gutted I couldn’t order more!

Delicious food, incredibly cheap prices - Edit
Went there twice and although I never got to try their famous tortilla (you need to go there early to get it, otherwise it gets sold out very fast), everything I ate has always been delicious. Prices are really cheap for the quantity you get. The sandwich for instance is huge although you cannot necessarily tell by the picture. Also, they used to accept cash only but now they finally take credit cards :)

Good atmosphere - Edit
The (i guess) owner is super nice ! The food is served with a lot of french fries (i did not expected that) and it's typical food from Madrid so it's really "fat". It's not a question about quality of the food, which I've found great, but just about taste: i cannot handle greasy food that much. The atmosphere of the restaurant is however super nice. I'd recommend to go there for a quick meal to share maybe and enjoy drinks there in this nice atmosphere.

Pros: Comida, Precios, Ambiente
Cons: Demasiado ruido

I LOVE B13 - Edit
I’ve been here a few times now and I love this restaurant. I have to say that I love this type of food, but I’ve been here with non vegan and vegetarian friends and they were all quite pleased. Also the prices are affordable which makes it way better.

Excellent Comfortable Food - Edit
Edit 2024: B13 has continued to change and adapt. Their menu is still amazing, prices are still affordable, and they have grown a lot. Expect to wait for a table, and for food. Totally worth it! Try their calamares (squid rings) and onion rings, both amazing!
Read moreI came here with a non-veg friend and we both were extremely satisfied with our meals, and comfortably stuffed. The staff is very friendly, and though the decor is not the best, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the place is full of locals. Since there were a lot of people, service was not speedy, but it was worth the wait. Don't come here expecting a delicious fancy meal. It's perfect when you just don't want to cook or pay very much for a meal out. We had a huge burger, a huge side of fries and a beer for 5 euro, which is an excellent price for Madrid. I will definitely go back and try all their menu! I wouldn't get so turned off by the location. Yes, there are sex workers, but it's not a sketchy street at all, and the neighborhood is quite nice.
