Vegano y sabroso - Edit
Opciones veganas con mucho sabor. Ojo que las alitas pican y tienen un sabor ácido muy fuerte, pero están buenas.

A truly filling vegan place - Edit
Clearly marked, all servers speak perfect English, and fantastic drinks. The wrap is huge, the fries are great, and service is top notch. The falafel is actually good. Not to mention tons of animals, fantastic birds just frolicking, and even iguanas hanging out. Also the restaurant is tucked into a shady spot which is a great escape from the heat.

Great happy hour - Edit
Several vegetarian and vegan options with clear labeling. The bowls are on the light side so I recommend ordering a starter or tapas/pita as well.

It’s okay - Edit
If you can’t manage to go somewhere else, it’s okay to eat here. Don’t expect to get overwhelmed. Be early to get falafel.

Mixed feelings - Edit
I looked at the review before eating here, and I understand the various different reviews. Both experiences were quite different. First time: amazing. Second time: a bit disappointed. First visit, I got a wrap, was good, service was good, ambiance felt chill! Second time, it took forever before I could order, and then they mixed up my order (I asked for ketchup with the fries, and they gave me ketchup INSTEAD of fries…). The music was so loud I could not hear the people around me. Although, the staff was friendly and so happy, I guess that’s a good point of having loud music. Still. I’m general quite good, vegan options identified, and friendly staff.

I wouldn't eat here again, terrible service - Edit
I wouldn't eat here again the staff are near clueless as what is and isn't vegan.
Read moreThey tried to convince me a yogurt sauce they brought me was actually hummus and it was vegan. They think honey is vegan.
I ordered a vegan sandwich marked on the menu as vegan, but double checked the bread was vegan when it arrived. The waitor suddenly flipped and started shouting at me, saying they weren't going to find out if the bread for their vegan sandwich was vegan. He then stormed off. And continued to shout at me from across the restaurant. he then told me to leave the hostel which the restaurant is in. I still had two more nights booked.
I was in shock the whole time. It was the most rudest Ive ever been treated in costomer service. And by far the most aggression I've ever gotten
Pros: None
Cons: Terrible service, They don't know what vegan is, Not great food.

So many vegan options! Great vibe and so colorful. Nice open outdoor breeze and fans. I got the babaganoush and the Self Love Bowl w falafel and tahini. I also got the pitcher of rum drink on happy hour such was so tasty! Not very strong but that's okay. I would happily come back here to try the Tagines.

Divine Food - Edit
Azuleo has amazing food and the menu is almost all vegan/vegetarian! One of the chefs, Maria, makes magic in the kitchen. She’s so friendly too!! We were staying in one of their apartments and ate at the restaurant a couple of times so we were able to try many things from the menu. The salad/vegetable bowls are bomb, the cauliflower wings with harissa sauce are sooo good, the falafel wrap is mouthwatering, etc. Great coffee and awesome service!

Should be 5 Stars! - Edit
*I want to give 5 stars, but because they are not fully vegan Happy Cow will not let me.
Read moreThis was by far the best meal we had during our stay in Manuel Antonio and we are sad that we didn’t find it until our last night. The food was delicious and healthy. My husband and I are both vegan and we had so many options to choose from and we felt full and satisfied by the generous portions of wholesome, flavorful food. The restaurant is clean and simple and the service was absolutely terrific. I cannot recommend Azuleo more. It is a real gem in Manuel Antonio and one of the most affordable meals in town (they could charge a lot more than they do for the quality of the food!). Other restaurants in town may have a view, but this place has better and more affordable food.
Recommended for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. Everyone can go home happy here!
We highly recommend the veggie bowls and the pita with dips appetizer.
*we found this place to be much better quality and just as affordable as the Falafel Bar
Pros: Excellent place for vegans and vegetarians , Wonderful service , Delicious, wholesome, healthy food
Cons: None, all good here!

Amazing - Edit
Should be 5 stars (they do have meat options, so HappyCow only allows 4 stars). My wife and I shared a pita appetizer with hummus and baba ganoush, then both had the Self Love Bowl with tahini dressing (I had rice, and she had cauliflower rice). Absolutely fantastic, good portions, and we spent $25 USD in total, which is way cheaper than most places 3 minutes up the road in Manuel Antonio. The service was amazing, too. Go here and keep these guys in business; it’s a gem.
