Always too spicy for me

I'm sure it's good but I can't take the heat of these dishes. As they usually offer only one fixed dish each day, I can't choose a milder one and always end up with a burning head

Nice food at fair price

Good home cooked Indian food. Very spicy, which we liked!

Small and good

Traditional homemade Indian food. Menu costs 5.50€. The portion is normal. The place is very small, but you can eat outside. They prepared a day menu, so you don't have to wait for your food.

Pros: Price, homemade.

Home-made food!

Pretty small but very cosy space. I liked how simple the design and food were. It's only one kind of meal per day, so no room for preference, but it was vegan and tasted really good. The dish could do with more vegetables, though.

Pros: Inexpensive home-made meal. Good and healthy.

Cons: The dish was too simple to be nutritious.

Soul Food

Simple preparation, delicious food. We had a vegetable curry over fresh basmati rice served with a papad. Just what my wife wanted and it was food for the soul.

The host speaks English. The plate came vegan as we requested. We will return when we are in that part of town again.

Altstadt area, very affordable, no crowd.

I stopped by for a quick lunch while touring the Altstadt. Lunch for 6 euros, tea 1 euro. Food is good, nice spicy kick as expected from Indian food.

Lovely little lunch place with delicious food

This place is SMALL, so be prepared to wait for one of the 10 table seats or a place at the two standing tables. But it's well worth it. The proprietress/cook prepares a lovely single-plate, ayurvedic meal each day for lunch which is always vegetarian and often vegan. Check the weekly menu online, since each day's meal is different. Very well priced at EUR 5.50, but the portions are small, so you might end up ordering two, as I did. Each plate comes with a papadam (Indian deep-fried lentil wafer) and, on the day I ate there, rice, vegetable and dhal (lentil sauce). A delicious hot-pickle condiment was also available from a serve-yourself dish. Also a wide assortment of teas and some desserts which I didn't try. All in all, I left there feeling very well fed and will be sure to return the next time I'm in Nürnberg.

Pros: homey atmosphere, meals prepared with love, tasty!

Cons: small, few seats, small portions
