Serves meat, vegan options available. Mexican restaurant featuring dishes from the Guanajuato region. Owners are accommodating to vegans and vegetarians and nearly everything on the menu can be adjusted to be vegan or vegetarian, expect for the chicken soup and deep fried chicken tacos. Vegan menu items typically include guacamole instead of sour cream and/or cheese and are often prepared using soy meat. Vegetarian menu items can include cheese and sour cream. Vegetarians can also enjoy chilaquiles which are made with egg. Instagram is aymamita.korea. Open Tue-Sun 11:30am-10:00pm. Closed Mon. Last orders 9:30pm.

Nice Mexican food with vegan options - Edit
I really enjoyed the food and the mood of the place. The owner said they had more vegan/vegetarian options but there was not enough demand to sustain it.

The food was amazing, it is the best mexican restaurant I've ever visited in Korea so far.

Only 1 option - Edit
Vegan tacos are the only option and it's just guacamole, salsa, pineapple.

Is tasty, but very expensive for what you get.

Nice vegan taco s - Edit
Like another review mentioned, the only vegan thing on the map is vegan tacos. I kind of expected hard shell tacos, but the tacos were soft, thats why I didn't give it 4 stars, but maybe traditionally, tacos are soft. I did really like the combination of ingredients and the people were super lovely! I noticed that the woman working there spoke English, korean and I think Spanish(???) as well. The interior design really suited the menu :).

Just ok - Edit
The menu changed so there’s only one vegan/vegetarian menu (vegan tacos). It tasted ok but it came out so cold and it took a very long time to come out.

It was okay - Edit
They only had one vegan option other than guacamole-tacos vegan. And it seemed like they took away the soy meat option. It was just some guacamole, tomatoes, onions and a slice of pineapple with salsa roja. And they charge extra 500won for cilantro. And I needed to pay 1,500won extra to make it a bit spicier. It was not good value for money, but the spot has cool vibe, friendly staffs and a clear vegan option.

Mexico in Jeonju - 5 STARS! - Edit
When I first saw this place under construction in Jeonju I couldn't wait. Now that's it's open I am happy to say it exceeds my expectations!
Read moreFinding Mexican food in Korea can be a challenge, so finding such a traditional place outside of Seoul felt like I had won the lottery! The place is co-owned by a Korean and a Mexican couple, and they do everything wonderfully. The menu is extremely vegetarian and vegan friendly, and I find that everything there is worth trying.
My boyfriend (vegetarian) always goes for the chilaquiles, an egg dish made with tortillas and tomato sauce. Personally, I go between the tacos and torta, just depending on my mood. Most of the vegan fillings are the same, so you're mostly changing the way in which it is served. I love the way the filling is sweet (pineapple) and savory, though some of my friends have told me they don't like cooked pineapple like I do! Haha.
In any case, you MUST order the house-made jalapeños (picked chiles) if you like spicy food. They are UNREAL and I always find myself eating multiple servings of it when I come. They are made using the owner's grandmother's recipe, so I truly feel like I'm back home when I eat them. I also love drinking margaritas here as they line the rim with a spicy salt (Lucas/Tajin) which takes it to the next level.
The restaurant is located in the shopping district of Jeonju and features a lovely renovated pair of buildings separated by a great patio.
Hablan espanol tambien!
Pros: delcious food, cool atmosphere, friendly owners
Cons: expensive
