I love this place they have several options for vegans, and omnivores. The food is always good. I highly recommend try this place. And enjoy eating with your fingers it’s not often you get to do often.

Tried Ethiopian food for the first time! - Edit
So I finally got to try this place and it was pretty good! I got the vegan combo and it was pretty good I couldn’t finish the whole thing! The staff were very friendly and told me all about the food what it was and also the tek which is what you eat most of the food with. Great experience very mellow and chill place to eat at! One of the staff members also gave me some extra Tek to go. And excuse my post meal pic I took one before but it wasn’t on my phone, so I had to take a post meal pic.

Pros: Few vegan options to choose from , Lots of parking spots , Friendly staff
Cons: None really other than it not being a vegan place, Wish they had some sort of tasty plant based meat

Delish options - Edit
We had the vegan lentil combo plate! Just 1 is needed for two people for lunch. Delicious flavors and combinations! So delectable in every bite!

Go. Just do it. - Edit
My boyfriend and I came here on a date night and we loved it. It’s super casual, there was almost no wait for our food, and it is exactly what I remembered when I had Ethiopian food years ago. I’m craving it now. The injera is also perfect. Man I need to eat here again.
Read moreWe got the vegan platter (not the “for two”) and it was plenty for two people, we were very full! $20 (plus a tip of course) fed us both this highly nutritious and tasty food.
Pros: Big portion!

Highly recommend for vegans! - Edit
My husband and I were driving through Indianapolis and stopped in for a comforting and warm meal. This was our first time having Ethiopian cuisine and it was DELICIOUS! Homey atmosphere, huge portions for the price, and friendly staff. This place gets so many extra points in my book for having a separate vegan menu. We ordered the “Vegan Combo for 2”. Please give this restaurant your business!

Correction - 5 star Vegan meal - Edit
Oops; I posted a review but only 1 star showed up! Meant to give 4. Would give 5 but Happy Cow does not all for restaurants that serve meat. Axum is an Indianapolis treasure!
