Lentils, beans, vegetables

I usually get the vegetarian platter on injera bread.
Always served hot and plentiful.
I enjoy the environment as well as I feel that for a few minutes I am in another part of the world.

Pros: Lentils, Beans, Vegetables

Quickly becoming my fav restaurant in PA

This place is fantastic!! Like everyone else is saying, all of the vegetarian dishes are confirmed vegan (with the exception of obvious things like having cottage cheese in the title). I have been here 3 times and get the same thing every time. The vegetarian combo platter, shiro wet (ground peas), and the beet/potato side. It's been too good to take chances on anything else. The lentil sambusa they recently added to the menu is also vegan and very filling, worth the $3 for one pastry. The portions are also generous for the price and I leave stuffed + with leftovers for a $40 meal.

Pros: Delicious food seasoned perfectly, Friendly service, Unique dining experience - hands for utensils only

Cons: The shiro wet is a very small portion for price

Wonderful authentic Ethiopian food!

This cute place is located near an Ethniopian grocery store. It has a vegetarian section on the menu, which was confirmed to be all vegan. The vegetable combo is a must try for first-times. The flavor was very good & not too spicy for my liking. The people who work there are very kind and accommodating. They served our food fairly quickly and it was still hot.

Pros: Timely & tasty, Clearly marked vegetarian section (all vegan), Relaxing atmosphere

Cons: No option for oil free, Need to ask for silverware

Excellent food

I love Ethiopian food and was excited to introduce my foodie husband so we swung by here on a visit. We got the vegetarian combo platter and it was amazing. We dined in and the atmosphere was ok. Staff was friendly.

Pros: Good food, Several options

Delicious vegan Ethiopian!

If you love Ethiopian or haven’t tried it before, definitely recommend checking out Awash! The vegetarian dishes on the menu are clearly marked, and all of these can be made vegan if asked.

Pros: 5 vegan entrees and 4 vegan sides , Large indoor dining area, Very reasonably priced

Cons: Vegan dishes have to be made separately
