Very good vegan food, greek style. Nice service. You have to book a table, ~ 2 days in advance. It's within the hotel, hotel guests get a free "best of" 3-course menu, but you can order much more from the menu card. Worth a visit!

Excellent Greek vegan cuisine - Edit
This is one of the best vegan restaurants I have tried in Greece, offering a full vegan menu with Greek dishes like mousaka which was excellent! Is must try whether someone is vegan or not. Well done to the chef.

Literally shop bought food - Edit
First of all this restaurant is attached to a “vegan friendly all inclusive” which it is far from, at first I was impressed at the selection when a breakfast they had vegan cheese but come lunch and dinner they don’t even serve that cheese and you’re options are plain rice or pasta, I was looking forward to going to the vegan restaurant but they only let you go once as part of your stay, not only that but the food is literally shop bought, the burger is the popular moving mountain burger, but to charge over €10 for a burger from frozen is ridiculous further more the staff are rude and inconsiderate to those of the vegan diet, when I spoke to the manager of the kitchen (they’re are manager of both the vegan and main restaurant) about more vegan options in the main, she said she can’t help me because I’m not allergic, and when I then lied and say I was she told me to sit down and she would bring me something and just brought me stuff that was already out, like she thought I was to stupid to read that the option said vegan on it, I didn’t not take the option because I didn’t know it was vegan but because it was plain rice.

Concerning your quotes for our vegan restaurant, we always allow guests to visit our a la carte restaurants more then once under the condition that there is availability as the tables are limited in the restaurant. You could have asked any time in the Guest Relations Office if a second or third visit is possible.
It is correct that our vegan burger is a convenient food burger. Please consider that, the most popular and internationally most sold burger "Beyond Burger" is also a vegan convenient food burger used in a lot of vegan or vegan friendly restaurants. The burger we use is of high quality and highly praised by our numerous vegan and non-vegen guests.
Our hotel is listed since years at "Vegan Welcome" and "Happy Cow". We have accommodated for many years vegan guests which were very satisfied with the choices in our restaurants. Even in the Greek and the Italian restaurant our vegan guests will always find a vegan choice in the all inclusive menu.
We are sorry that we could not meet your expectations.

Fully vegan 6-course-menu - Edit
Nice menu. I decided to not eat a la carte but to go for the 6-course-menu for 28€. Expect of my main dish, which, for my taste, I chose wrong, all the other courses whether really great.

We placed our reservation at midday for the same day but we were at Crete out of main season. If you are there in the main season I would book ahead.
The restaurant itself is really nice but I don’t like that it is located in an actual hotel area with lots of people, who stuff themselves with the half-board meal they have booked and tend not to take advantage of the exclusive vegan restaurant. As a result, you unfortunately have a lot of fat vacationing omnivores around you, which detracts from the charm of the location.

Nice vegan à la carte restaurant - Edit
The Avocado is located at Appolonia Beach Resort and at this time (June 2023) it is closed on Thursdays and Fridays . You can not go spontaneously but have to make a reservation at the hotel .
Read moreThe food was really yummy and the service friendly . You can choose whether you want a set menu (soup, starter, main course Salad, dessert) or to eat à la carte . There were a few options so that anybody should find something to their taste . I hope the restaurant will be able to expand the opening times to more days and that it will be here still, when we come back to Crete 🥰

This was the nearly only vegan restaurant in Crete. I was totally ok and filling. We get the menu which was a few courses. Some dishes were really great such as the dips and the soup, some dishes was ok like the dessert. Maybe just I didn't liked it a lot. Be sure to make a reservation.

I went for the €22 euro set menu so I could try a bit of everything and was impressed with everything- particularly the selection of starters. The staff were wonderful and they also have an extensive list of vegan wines.

We ordered from the all-inclusive menu as part of our stay at the resort. The food was delicious and we left absolutely bursting (go light on the bread at the start...as much more food is coming). The starter was a delicious pumpkin soup followed by meze platter. We then had the veggie burger and schnitzel for main with the most wonderful avo salad (if we were served that salad as a main we would have been delighted!). Dessert was then sorbet or a ‘vanilla cream’ dish which was a bit like custard. Overall really enjoyed our meal...we just wished we had eaten less during the day beforehand!!

All vegan resataurant in the vegan-friendly hotel Appolonia beach resort and spa. We had the best vegan 4 course menu we have ever had (€22/pp!!). Staff was realy friendly, very kind towards the kids.
