Fresh & Colorful - Edit
Great find across the street from our hotel. Cute little contain food/bar park with sand volleyball courts was a great place to relax and have a delicious meal. Avo offered indoor/outdoor dining, super fresh food with tons of menu options including raw meals, everything we ate was delicious and had great flavor. We loved the kimchi spring rolls and the pad thai, We also tried several of the deserts and they were all amazing. There were beautiful plants surrounding the dining area and the staff was super helpful too.

Avo is great! They have wonderful seasonal menus. Always get the Kimchi Spring Rolls. Always. They have several raw options as well as cooked. Plenty of healthy options and not so healthy. They also have rotating cheesecake flavors that are always delicious. Highly recommend!

Great vibes, a bit pricey - Edit
The location was extremely cool, sharing outdoor space with sand bar which has sand volleyball. The servers and employees were very nice too. Had the green bowl and the raw pad Thai. Both were good (liked the peanut sauce on the pad Thai) but the pad Thai would really benefit from a protein source like edamame or tofu. The green bowl had good ingredients, but was light for $15, and nothing special. Definitely prefer a salad from Sweetgreen.

This is raw done right! While not everything here is served raw and cold, what we got went far beyond our expectations, considering what we’ve experienced in the past ordering raw. We got the Zucchini Noodles and Raw Pad Thai and loved them both. We also got some tap and canned beer that were great, but if you’re looking for a cocktail, I’d definitely point your toward the avocado margarita, it was perfection!

Sinful splurge, minus the sin - Edit
Avo was our introduction to vegan food in Nashville, and what an intro! I think it's safe to say I haven't had a better vegan burger, period. The lentil-walnut patty is a perfect hearty core, and the fixings they put on the Western and Cali burgers are portioned out well for maximum flavor and texture, while still being satisfyingly sloppy and saucy (because every good burger should be a little messy, right?). If you love Pad Thai but are often disappointed at the low ratio of veggies to noodles or the sickly-sweetness of the sauce, Avo's raw Pad Thai is just the answer. And the kimchi spring rolls? Hot. Damn. The mushroom bourguignon has classic rich umami flavor, with an extra portion of veggies. Never mind the avocado margarita or the cheesecake. The whole Avo experience tastes like a gut-busting splurge, yet doesn't leave you feeling any guilt or regret at all. Well, not unless you eat every menu item in one sitting, which I may attempt next time.
Read moreUpdate: New favorite is the CBD walnut brownie. Rich dark chocolate with the right amount of sweetness, crumbly chewy texture, and fudgy topping - utter, absolute perfection.
Pros: Raw and gluten-free options available, Healthy, Reasonable prices

I have eaten at Avo a few times, and they do not disappoint. The food is always fresh and the portion sizes are filling. The Thai peanut sauce on the Raw Pad Thai is incredibly flavorful. Not to be missed.

Nashville’s Best Food - Edit
Located in the heart of Nashville, just 5 minutes away from Centennial Park, or 6 from Capitol Hill, this was a perfect place to grab brunch!
Read moreMy sister ordered the aptly named LGBT sandwich and fries while I had the brunch sandwich. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!
If the bun was house-made — I sure want the recipe! And if it was not, it sure tasted like it was! Melt-in-your-mouth goodness, and I haven’t even gone past the bread! JUST egg, roasted tomato, coconut American cheese, etc...
The cookies and cream cashew cheese cake was scrumptious, if a little too sweet for me.
The staff were absolutely delightful! Helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. They were very genuine, interesting, and conversational, too, when they didn’t have other customers to help.
I will be back to Nashville and I will be back to Avo!

Great vegan brunch - Edit
My husband had the vegan breakfast sandwich which was honestly the best we’ve ever had. I had the kale Caesar salad which was just ok, would probably get the green bowl instead next time. Fun environment with sand volleyball court

It’s been a few years since I’ve been here, but I didn’t love it. Everything was raw and not that filling. Pricy from what I remember, but it might be a nice place to try out raw vegan food.

They added cooked food to the menu back in the fall of 2015. Their current menu only has a few raw items. You should go back and try it!

Clean, green dishes - Edit
Great menu with delicious and nutritious items. The Green bowl is oil free with steamed greens and brown rice. I also appreciate their flavorful lentil walnut burger, especially when so many restaurants rely on the oily high fat Impossible and Beyond Meat patties. The Chocolate Avo Tart is rich and creamy without being cloyingly sweet.

Modern, delicious, inspired food. - Edit
Clean, new modern dining spot. Not too fancy and not too casual either (no paper plates!) I had buffalo cauliflower that I LOVED for an app. Entrees were the raw pad thai and the Cali burger. Both were well prepared and delicious! The bread the burger came on was soooo yum. I will definitely come to Avo again next time I am in town.

Rushed - Edit
Service was knowledgeable and they helped me find sugar free choices. Starters were good but before we had finished with them the server came to bring our mains and cleaned away the started plates while we were still eating from them. I was still eating my main when server came again and cleaned the table out from everything else. Towards the end of me trying to finish my main the checking in became more frequent and the cheque came with “no rush” while we were still enjoying our desert and coffee. With even more frequent flybys our table. It was impossible to enjoy the conversation and each other and the food with the constant hussle. Too bad.

I was so excited to eat here and ended up being so disappointed. My friend found 2 hairs in her food and the avocado margarita just wasn’t all that. The best thing I had was my Cider.
