NEW FAV!!! - Edit
Please please do your tastebuds a favor and go here! Get the cheeze board! We went twice just because of it! Obsessed! It’s comparable to the planta chain experience. Staff are so friendly, everything was perfect, if I lived here I’d go every week!

Makes me wish I lived in Nashville! - Edit
A perfect lunch! I had half portions of the spring rolls, cauliflower wings, and kale salad and a vegan vampire cocktail. Great ambiance and attentive staff. Easy parking.

So Good! - Edit
Loved everything I ordered. The nachos were some of the best I’ve ever had! Also got the pesto pasta and cauliflower picatta and those were amazing. This restaurant was definitely a highlight of my trip to Nashville!

The salad tho - Edit
I loved everything about this place from the aesthetics to the service to the food especially, everything was delicious, not one complaint on my end. Tried multiple items on the menu. I want a big kale salad person but this one seed changed my mind, I’m def gonna try to mimic it.

Enjoyable - Edit
They have plenty of gf options which is always nice!
Read moreWe had the kimchi rolls, harissa vegetables and the cauliflower picante.
The kimchi rolls were OK, but a pate texture didn't quite work for me in the rolls.
The harissa vegetables were good, but not amazing. Could have been hotter temperature wise as well.
The cauliflower picante was very good. The best of three for sure.
I'd come back, but might try somewhere else first.
Did enjoy lighter and healthier fare for sure though.

Delicious - Edit
Our group included carnivores, pescatarian, and lowfat whole food plant base and everyone was very pleased with this restaurant. We had appetizers, drinks to include alcoholic and non-alcoholic, entrées, and dessert. If this restaurant was in our neighborhood we would return! Thank you Avo for great service and great food!

AVO was excellent. I particularly recommend the “cheese” plate. The service was good and they could not have been any friendlier. Highly recommend.

So great yet.. so not? - Edit
I’ve been here twice, once at the location across the street, and now the new. Our experience at the old location was really awesome, great service, the food was made with a lot of love, and the server was really fun and seemed to like her job a lot. Drinks were weird and really good. Space felt like you were in a temporary building because you were, but the drafts and outdoor restrooms didn’t end up mattering. Five star all the way.
Read moreThis time, it seemed like something was different. Front of house staff still awesome, drinks still top notch, bartender nice, and the space is a little stripmally but also nice. But the food… joyless and just strange. Polenta is a greasy slick of tasteless vegetables with a way too rich sauce. Nashville Salad was dry of dressing on top and soggy on bottom with these strange hush puppy-ish fried, mashed sweet potato blobs.. maybe they were butternut? I don’t think this was an isolated incident, as the table next to us sent a plate of food back after not eating it. I hope it was an off night, because I’m always happy to see a 100% vegan restaurant that’s not a chain. I hope y’all get back to form.
Pros: Front of house folks are the best, Its all vegan!, Cashew cheese is really great
Cons: Food inconsistent

Easy vegan dinner - Edit
Great cocktails and pretty solid dinner! I’ve enjoyed other vegan spots in Nashville more, but Avo has a nice selection of salads and stir fry’s plus it’s in a convenient location close to downtown.

OK, but... - Edit
I'm glad Avo exists, but... we took an Uber out from town.... so it was our Saturday night....
Read moreIt was OK, but....
The menu promises more than it delivers
Food is vegan, but not very tasty.
One of the main courses (pasta) described the vegetables as roasted, but they seemed more boiled to us and the walnut pesto was... interesting, but not very more-ish.
The Kale salad was a lot of Kale, with dressing, some whole garlic cloves (maybe roasted, but not very), sundried tomato (well, perhaps, but not very pleasant) and was impossible to finish. partly because of the size, and partly because it wasn't very nice.
The design of the restaurant is nice enough, though didn't have a great atmosphere. Maybe we were unlucky being by a side door which you can;t enter by but by which patrons exit.
Lastly, It's great to have fast service, but the whole meal including the starter and main course was delivered in 35 minutes, which made for a very quick evening meal.
Pros: Friendly, Vegan
Cons: Food was only OK, Super quick service, Out of town, unless you happen to live in the area

Had to come back - Edit
I wanted to try some new vegan places this time on my Nashville visit, but I loved Avo so much the first time that I had to visit it again…plus I wanted to visit their new space. The food was amazing as always, and this will definitely be a staple for every time I visit Nashville.

More whole-foody and healthy - Edit
Avo offers diners a healthier alternative: cheeses and sauces are made with cashews instead of unhealthy oils. The place is more upmarket which is reflected in the prices. There's a nice range of whole food meals on offer. A good place to visit if you're wanting something that isn't pizza, burgers and fries.

Tasty - Edit
Nice upscale place for dinner. Kimchi spring rolls were delicious though they were premade and chilled not made to order. The kimchi cashew mixture inside was really good. Pesto primavera was very tasty as well. Nachos we’re good but I’ve had better.

Excellent - Edit
This was the best vegan food I’ve ever had. I wandered over here because it was right by my hotel and I like to check out the veggie places when I visit another town. Let me say that I was impressed. I got a kale Caesar salad with these crispy Parmesan flakes and roasted chickpeas, fried potatoes with the most delicious sauces, and a cashew pesto pasta. Everything was 5/5. I wish I’d gone there the next day. Service was excellent and I would have had dessert but I ate every bit of my food and was stuffed.

Super fresh, Ultra flavor - Edit
Dined in for lunch and got the trio- very very happy with that choice as you get to try smaller portions of lots of things. The crab cake was served over a bed of cabbage and dressed with a crunchy topping and savory sauce. The roasted Brussels sprouts were topped with slivered almonds and golden raisins and dressed with a sweet agave sauce. The Kale Ceasar had so much going on-- not a dull bite in the bowl. My friends got the pad thai which I got to try- the kelp noodles were crunchy and sauced with a good amount of savory and spice. The house salad was a hit and the fried potatoes were dressed with a healthy amount of avocado and looked amazing as well.

This place is very nice looking and spacious inside. I was there during happy hour which had some decent deals on some of the food and drinks. I saw a lot of people with the frozen avocado margarita. Service was great. I was able to find free 2hr parking in a nearby lot.
