This vegan restaurant had a huge variety of food options. In the end we decided to have the Welsh national dish and the poke bowl which both we can recommend. The sauce and the like-meat were very impressive in taste but it could be more food on it. The bowl also tasted good and fresh. The staff was nice and the dishes came very fast. We really enjoyed the atmosphere to sit outside in this place in summer. To sum up we definitely recommend this restaurant. It's probably not the cheapest way to eat but for this experience it's worth to support them.

We ate Bruschetta (not a real Italian bruschetta, but not bad anyway:) and two types of hamburger (nochicken and mushroom/truffle).. So good that I forgot to take a photo!

We shared and enjoyed a celeriac carpacio, then I had what was described on the menu as the "Welsh dish", which turned out to be a sort of imitation lamb chop with a pea and mint sauce and something else, and it was all spot on. There's no connection to Wales with the place; apparently the chef had just been to Wales and had this lamb dish. I wonder if they'd had it at that Queen Inn in Cwmbran. Anyway we went and shared a slice of appeltaart for afters and it was all thoroughly enjoyable.

A really spacious restaurant with a great entirely vegan menu that is more than the standard falafel burger, but also vegan takes on more interesting dishes. The staff is very friendly and the interior is nice! We had a variety of dishes (Carbonara, Avocado Burger and the mushroom stew) and all were great. We also finished of with two of the cakes (apple pie and cherry tarts) which also tasted really good.
Read moreAll in all this is a great place to go to and even though it's located in a busy area, the inside seating space is really calm cozy and one is likely to get a table there as it is quite big.
I was here with my non-vegan family and everyone really enjoyed their food! :)

Beautiful decor, lovely ambience, amazing food for great pricing, the only thing that was confusing was the fact that the 3-course menu did not have any explanation, so we had to ask the waiter.

Nice and cozy informal place. Staff is friendly and quick. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I dont know if you can order from any of these cards at any time of the day. Really loved it, little bit expensive. Ingredients where fresh and good.

i’m so glad there’s finally a fully vegan restaurant in maastricht! it’s been here only since december as brunch and since march they offer dinner options too from thursday-sunday. we made a reservation for 4 on friday evening but was not needed since there were many seats available.
Read morefor starters we got the bruschetta, which was amazing. for the bread and dips one dip was just the tomatoes which was the same as the bruschetta topping, the guacamole had a quite weird taste, it didn’t really taste fresh. but the cream cheese was super good!
pasta carbonara was creamy and had yummy vegan bacon, the spring onion totally made the dish complete.
the pasta spicy meatballs was spicy indeed but delicious, the meatballs had the perfect texture and the fresh leafy greens went along great with the spicyness.
the chili sin carne was okay. personally we didn’t like the combination of tempeh in this dish, and believe this could’ve been replaced with more beans since that’s the main ingredient for chili.
the south korean super food was super delicious, the speed cooked oyster mushroom had an amazing bite and the sauce was incredible! the pear is a unique ingredient but surprisingly good! the cashews was also a surprise since this was not mentioned on the dish description on the menu but i liked it :)
portions were big enough!
we will definitely be coming back to try the brunch and desserts next time!

We had the egg salad and bacon toast and red fruit smoothie bowl and both were great. We're very happy to see a new fully vegan place in Maastricht and will definitely be back for lunch and dinner sometime!

Avant garden is a very nice and cosy place to go to. Since the whole menu is plant based, there is a lot to choose from! I ordered the egg bacon sandwich and it was very tasty! They just didn’t have any bacon and I was not told about this while ordering so keep in mind to ask to be sure. They did offer me a discount and apologised so they solved it friendly.

At avant garden they serve breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is bigger than I thought and they have a lot of tables so I think it's not a big problem that they don't accept reservations. In my opinion it was a bit too cold in the restaurant.
Read moreI ordered a decaf cappuccino, unfortunately it tasted more like hot milk than coffee. But my beetroot hummus toast was delicious! I liked the roasted zucchini and feta cheese on top. Maybe the portion could be a bit bigger. I think some dishes are too expensive for the size of the portion.

Happy to see a fully vegan spot in Maastricht - Edit
As far as I know the first and only entirely plant-based cafe in Maastricht. Hopefully this is the start of more plant-based places to open up shop in Maastricht.
Read moreCame here with 6 people and we could sit at a large table at the back of the restaurant. It was not busy at the time we visited. They have a lot of seating space so chances are they are never entirely full. All of the dishes are well presented and have a lot of flavor. However, I would argue that portion sizes could be bigger. I had the chili sin carne which was very tasty and was served with tortilla chips on the side, in my opinion it would be better with rice or some other grain. It should have come with tempeh and beans according to the menu but I only had beans, no tempeh to be found which was a shame.
So there's still some room for improvement but that is not a bad thing.
