The drinks were pretty good, interesting flavor. I'd never had kava before, so I didn't know what to expect. The drinks definitely taste like a root, which makes total sense. I liked the environment, and the service was friendly.
Read moreI double-checked that the food was vegan, and it turns out their veg status needs to be updated to vegetarian. They started offering pastries that aren't vegan. I give four because the lady who helped us today said that she's been trying to get the baker to change the selection to vegan. It seems like they're working it out.. Unfortunately, they're not a vegan business currently, and vegans will need to double check if they order food here.

Welcoming Stop to relax on the road to Hana - Edit
Great local vibe serving up traditional Kava & Kava Mocktails - awesome events and life music and a perfect location in downtown Paia. I love that you can get a relaxing vibe and enjoy a drink without having the Centerpoint be alcohol. Kava is sacred to the Hawaiians and culturally significant throughout Polynesia - and you definitely get a sense of reverence for all of the sacredness and tradition here but with a modern & inviting feel.
