Nothing Special

This is one of those places where it's possible to eat if you’re vegan but your choices are limited to one or two lunch items if you’re vegan. Dinner is far mire difficult. Yes, there’s a bakeshop in here but don’t expect to find much, if anything that's vegan. I agree that the veggie burger was good but certainly not any better than other house made burgers. So, if you’re in the area and want lunch you’ll find a couple of options but it’s not worth a trip.

Pros: Decent house made burger

Cons: Limited vegan options , Space is small and can be crowded

Unique and traditional vegan options

This restaurant is located just north of downtown Rochester in a quiet community of Irondequoit and below Lake Ontario. If you are visiting the Lake area, this is one of the only homemade, lighter fare (if desired), and with vegan options. We confirmed their veggie burger is made in-house versus buying a packaged variety. It was delicious - soft and crunchy on the inside; seared on the outside. The hummous was fresh and creamy without being overly oily and was also served with whole chickpeas. Other options were rice with tofu.
The place is a popular destination with locals, so arrive early. It was heavily staffed, and we waited less that the 20-minute wait we were given. It's in a charming setting, a double storefront with an open kitchen and an adjacent bakery. It was a relaxing and pleasurable dining experience.

Pros: Fresh food, delicious, good proportion, Changing themed menu specials, Excellent service; some vegan options

Cons: Parking limited, but you will find some, Waiting line outside for weekend breakfast
