Pleasantly surprised! - Edit
My husband and I dined here recently while in Courtenay. We are both vegan and were pleasantly surprised by this place. While there aren’t a ton of vegan options as other reviews also mention, the food we received was healthy and fresh.

Staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Our server was excellent and was clearly familiar with exactly how to modify items to accommodate vegan guests. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Would come here again next time we are in the area.

It was pretty good - Edit
As someone else said, there's not a ton of choice, but I was travelling with someone who was not vegan and we were both happy. The atmosphere was also pretty nice(interesting art, good music, and relaxed). Might give 3.5 because of the lack of options, but 4 doesn't feel undeserved.

One single option for brunch and they wouldn't do modifications - Edit
There were two vegans in my party and we'd thought we'd be able to try a few things. The only vegan item on the menu was the southwest vegan bowl. When I asked if anything else could be made vegan I was told the southwest bowl was the only "safe choice." The southwest bowl was fine, but from what I'd heard about this place, I was definitely expecting more options on the menu.

Nice atmosphere, plenty of options - Edit
From a first glance I thought this place was brunch-only, but it is definitely a nice dinner spot as well! The atmosphere was casual but refined and cozy. The menu was FULL of options, I found it hard to choose. They have a “vegan plate,” but I ended up getting a Buddha bowl with tofu. They also had stir fry, pasta, and a number of appetisers that could be made vegan. I regretfully found this place on my last day in town as I would have liked to check out their lunch and brunch as well.
