Such a relaxed and lovely atmosphere. Super friendly staff and clearly labelled vegan options with more options than most!! The Portuguese Style Tofu was unreal and the cocktails slap.

Separate veg menu with a good range of dishes, soya milk available. Portuguese tofu was nice in a tangy sauce served with rice, salad and grilled veg. Good serving size. Relaxed atmosphere sat outside.

Portuguese style tofu highly recommended - Edit
There is a page for vegan and vegetarian options on menu which is handy. We both ordered the Portuguese style tofu with sautéed vegetables, rice and salad which was surprisingly flavourful and perfectly seasoned. Good portion too. Nice outdoor seating shaded from the sun. Enjoyed a nice lunch here after visiting the castle.

Great to see a place that doesn't only serve burgers as a vegan option, but also some veganised local food ( portugese style tofu, bifana). Had the tofu, which was well seasoned and a good portion. Would come back to try the seitan bifana!

They have lots of vegan options (vegan pizza, pasta, burgers, tofu with legums, etc). They even have a vegan menu. The staff were very friendly! It is a very good place if you are looking for vegan food!

We were so happy to find this gem in Silves! The staff were lovely and we could build our own pizza or pasta to our liking. They even put extra tomatoes on our pizza, and gave us some nutritional yeast as a cheese substitute. We had such a lovely evening, and best of all the price was super! Great for a relaxed meal in a beautiful city.

Read moreEven though they don't have a vegan/vegetarian page on the menu, the staff explained what we could create our own vegan pasta/pizza dish.
We had a "build your own" pasta with aubergine, courgette, mushroom, garlic and tomato sauce, which was really delicious! They served it with vegan "parmesan".
Pros: excellent food, good value, helpful staff
Cons: no vegan page in the menu, limited choice of vegan options

Although we've known about this place for a few years it wasn't until it appeared on Happy Cow that we'd ever considered it as a vegan dining zone. It's set beautifully on a lovely street corner full of charm. The main chef who is apparently vegan told us to either pick a pasta dish from the menu or build our own from various ingredients. We went for the house vegetarian pasta with courgette, carrot, tomato and aubergine and one 'built' with aubergine, mushroom and tomato. They were both excellent. Seriously good and served with a vegan parmesan type cheese. With 2 glasses of wine and 2 bottles of sparking water you're looking at €21. Amazing. This is the only place I would consider safely eating at in the seafood crazy town of Silves.

Great addition to Happy Cow. Finding vegan friendly places to eat out in Silves isn't easy with such a strong focus on fish in so many restaurants. This is a nice alternative, it's a beautiful setting, it's welcoming and friendly and the food is very good. Love the build your own pasta option on the menu so you can choose exactly what you like and ensure its totally vegan. The vegan parmesan we were given with our meals was a very nice surprise and enhanced our delicious meals. Would definitely return if in Silves again.

We came here after reading another review about how accommodating this place is. That was not our experience on our visit. We were told blankly that they did not have anything for us. After looking through the menu we found the "build your own" pasta and selected vegan ingredients. Maybe the vegan woman who works here wasn't working today.

I called in and asked if they really had vegan options and apparently one of the employees there is vegan so she cooks up something for.you based on the meal of the day. We received a side salad which was delicious and the entree was mixed rice and beans with mushrooms and broccolli rabe. The juice of the day was carrot beets and orange. All tasty!
