Lovely, authentic Indian food

We love getting delivery from Ashirwad. Everything we've tried has been tasty and there's a good range of dishes. They make great dosas, & my son especially loves the vada pav.

Pros: Excellent food, Range of dishes from different Indian regions, Vegan food is clearly marked

Cons: Not fully vegan

Super tasty food

The employees are super helpful, patient and very nice. And the food is so delicious. Get the garlic Naan and some samosas if you visit.

Love love love!

The decor is a bit boring, but the food is anything but! Everything was amazing, most of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan.
We ordered a few things to share, everything was amazing, the best indian food I have had in years!

Best Veg Food in the IE!

I have been going here since they opened, and I have not once been disappointed! The owners are so sweet, and the servers are always great. I have tried southern indian food in other places around the US, and nothing has beat them. Always so delicious and it’s great knowing how much love is put into the food you eat. Forever my favorite place to eat when I come home.

Huge menu

I had fun picking something I never had. Instead picking the dishes I recognized I picked things I never had and was not disappointed I had the thepla bread with sweet pickle (vegetarian) and vada sambar (vegan) dumplings. The coconut chutney was to die for. It came with soup.

Best Indian Food in SoCal

I've eaten tons of Indian food all over Southern California, but none of them comes close to the taste, presentation, and the service here at Ashirwad. My partner and I were driving to Joshua Tree and found this restaurant on an Eater list, so we called ahead and placed an order for pick up. We ordered the dhokla, which is this delicious corn bread like gluten free bread topped with mustard seeds, coconut shreds, and cilantro, chef's choice uttapam, and thelpa with chole. I had never had uttapam this good and the thelpa was a tortilla-like bread with fenugreek leaves that was outta this world good with the chole (garbanzo bean curry). I will definitely be making the stop here everytime I am in the area. It's just that good!

Tasty Veg Indian Food

I had been here a few years back while visiting the Ontario area. And just made it back during another visit...What an improvement! The space looks much nicer and the food was delicious. They have a nice selection of Indian dishes and the staff was very friendly. We will absolutely go back to eat here the next we visit family in Ontario.
If you're looking for a clean, Indian, vegetarian place to eat, give Ashirwad a try.

Favorite Restaurant Ever!

This is my favorite restaurant in the area--the food is AMAZING!

All vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu, and every single dish is delicious and special. If you are feeling hungry try the Thali! Otherwise, I highly recommend their dosa's.

I have never had such amazing food, and you can't beat the price!

Delicious biryani

Saw this on Happycow and had to stop in for a try. Here's my Ashirwad review.

I've been looking for good Indian veg food for a long time now. Other places I've tried have not impressed. But Ashirwad's biryani was just outstanding. I am totally hooked. It's exquistely spiced, with so much taste and flavor. Then at the end the heat kicks in (quite spicy - I like!). I would definitely like to come back and try the other menu items.

Great tasting Indian Food

Family owned and, well it's as if you were sitting in someones kitchen
while they cook for you!
Friendly, helpful, great flavors.
(Try not to notice the styrofoam plates and plastic utensils)
Will return again to sample more new and interesting dishes.

Delightful

The food here is exceptional. I love how casual and laid back the establishment is. The food is truly unique in this area. The people working here are very kind. I have tried dishes here that I have never seen on other menus before. Everything is delicious, portions are generous and the prices are very good. I recommend this to everyone.

Delicious & Unusual Indian food

I have eaten here twice. Each time it was delicious. I am a vegan and there are several vegan options. (It is a lacto-veg. restaurant.) My only problem was that when I asked the owner to replace GMO oils with GMO-free options, he refused, even when I said I was willing to pay more. This is an enormous problem in California and the US since GMO foods are not labeled. Almost all foods with corn, soy, canola, etc. contain GMO's. This is a problem since most restaurants use oils with GMO's. It is difficult to get a commitment from a restaurant to eliminate GMO's. I rarely eat out anymore, and when shopping read labels very carefully. I try to live a GMO-free life.

STARS ALL THE WAY

Stars all the way, for this amazing place
Here is my honest experience

New owners are a family with the most caring attitude
Food is only vegetarian, tasty and homelike atmosphere
Prices very affordable no fancy high prices

My only complaint is they were packed with customers on my visit, so the service was a bit slow, but this is understandable
So save time by going with PHONE ORDERS to go

If you are into healthy living try this place, won't regret

Southern Indian restaurant

Tried this restaurant for the first time, the owner was very helpful in pointing my wife and I to the dishes that fit our needs. Vegan and no soy, The Aloo ghobi was great the Sev Puri was excellent, and the first time either of us had had this dish. The Masala Dosa was also excellent. All the food is prepared when ordered and adjustments for dietary needs can be made. Overall service and quality was great. Can't wait to go back
