Makes plant-based vegan cheeses which are available for purchase at the store, online, through various suppliers and select markets (At the Harvest Markets in Launceston). Open Sat 8:30am-12:30pm.
Yum! Artisa are selling at the weekly Harvest Market (Sat mornings) in Launceston. They also have their products available online, and at a few shop fronts. Some eateries across the state use their cheese which you can find on the Artisa website.
I remember years ago tasting Artisa's plant based cheese at a market, thinking 'oh wow if I was vegan they'd have my cheese cravings covered!' Well now I'm vegan and whilst I don't have cheese cravings I'm still so very impressed in what Artisa produces! Seriously you don't need dairy to make yummy cheese!
By far the best vegan cheeses I've ever had. The vegan cultures make them taste like really great cheese even to dairy eaters. Creamy and tangy. I often get the kunyani which has Tasmanian pepper berry powder to add a slight kick.
When I wasn't plant based I never really enjoyed platter cheeses and the like anyway, but this place makes me drool just thinking of it. Incredible ethical cheese. I'll bring them to an omnivore event and everyone always saysthe artista ones are the tastiest and they can't believe they're dairy free! Must try!
100% worth a visit. The staff is very friendly, helpful, passionate, and knowledgeable about their products, and the cheeses are so good! I served a platter to a non vegan group and everyone was convinced. Vegan cheese rules!
Please support these guys - they are making VEGAN cheese! I have bought their cheese directly from their headquarters in Prospect, , Evandale Market and from Mood Food Servo in Launceston. Making vegan cheese dreams come true!
