Serves meat, vegan options available. This may the the closest restaurant to Point Reyes that is truly vegan friendly. The restaurants within Point Reyes Station have very limited vegan fare. There are two vegan restaurants in the general area, but these are over twice as far away from Point Reyes Station (21+ miles vs 10 miles actual driving distance). The several vegan choices on the menu here are clearly marked. All the vegetarian items are organic. It is located in the small town of Lagunitas. The cafe itself is small, but there is plenty of additional seating outside. The place is pleasant and service is friendly. The food is typical Indian, but organic. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-3:00pm, 4:30pm-8:30pm.

Great Samosas and Bhajis - Edit
Stopped in for a quick snack in the middle of a bikeride from San Francisco - partly due to the nearby general store being closed.
Read moreLovely looking cozy place - inside tables laid with tablecloths, China plates, silverware and glasses my mother would approve of.
Got a couple of vegetable samosas and onion bhajis to eat at one of the tables out side. Food came out quickly (and tasted great). Had a nice chat with one of the staff there who was more than happy to fill our water bottles with water.
Will definitely plan to go back if I’m in the area to try some other options.

What a great find! - Edit
We stumbled on Arti after scurrying away from Point Reyes station for a lack of vegan options. It’s hard to find vegan friendly Indian food, so this was dope. We ordered both the gluten free and the conventional garlic naan—I tried both and actually liked the GF better! It’s special that they make GF naan, that’s rare. For main dishes we ordered the vegan mushroom dish which was fine, and the dal makhani (ordered vegan) which was great! The folks there were nice and the ambience of the outdoor seating was lovely.

Yummy!! - Edit
I'm staying in the area and decided to stop by because I've been just doing good Earth the entire week. I'm only sad that I hadn't come earlier because the place was delicious! Clearly marked vegan items along with items that can be veganized. I had the going coconut veggie dish which was out of this world and they made it not spicy for me which I appreciate it! The rice was so good and a perfect accompaniment and the non was delicious! They were super friendly and it had a great vibe and it was a great night to sit outside! Will come again!

Middle of the road - Edit
I used to work right down the street. Curiously no one at work ever wanted to eat here. It's slow, so expect to wait a long time for your food. Food is ok. I wouldn't recommend it but it's also in the middle of nowhere without a lot of options.

An Unexpected Pleasure! - Edit
Found this Gem while camping down the road at Samuel Taylor State Park. The food was excellent. We had Mushroom and Gajar Gobhi Mattar along with a few of the vegan house breads. The menu has a few things marked as vegan, however they may be able to modify other dishes. We were there on a night where staff was otherwise engaged (there was some kind of a sports match on tv) so it was a bit difficult to order, request check, etc, but the food was all excellent! Also, it was a cold night when we arrived so all seating was indoors but they have outdoor seating for warmer weather.

A Hidden Gem - Edit
This is a great restaurant. They have a good selection of vegan options clearly marked. The Chana Masala and Aloo Saag were the best I have had, and I eat Indian food a lot. The owners are super friendly and the service is fast. I highly recommend it.

Wow, Organic Indian Food! - Edit
Arti's is a local fixture and if you happen to be traveling out to the Point Reyes National Seashore take Sir Francis Drake Boulevard to Arti's in Lagunitas and stop on your way or for dinner on your way back to town. You will not be disappointed. They have many Vegan dishes and have Gluten-free Nan which is light and fluffy, the best we have ever had. Their sauces are light and delicious. A must try!

Organic, vegan friendly - Edit
This cafe offers a typical Indian menu, but is organic and has the vegan choices clearly marked. The setting is pleasant, with outdoor seating as an option. Food is good. I tried this restaurant while visiting Point Reyes National Seashore. It was by far the most convenient vegan friendly restaurant to Point Reyes.
