Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers also a separate and extensive vegetarian menu where every dish is vegan suitable. The kitchen is aware of what 'vegan' entails and cooks the vegan items separately. Pleasant atmosphere, accommodating staff. Open Mon-Thu 12:30-22:00, Fri-Sun 13:00-23:00. Open for lunch and dinner.

Eh - Edit
Expensive for what you get. We weren’t allowed to add tofu to our veggie Szechuan dish so we had to order the fried tofu appetizer and add it in ourselves. They use silken tofu and then tempura fry it. The sweet & sour sauce was way too sweet and made the tempura gummy. The restaurant offers a vegetarian menu but it isn’t very vegan friendly and the waitress wasn’t familiar with vegan either. They don’t have hot sauce like sriracha or chili paste, just bland homemade chili oil. Overall, kind of disappointing. Needs work.

Not very good - Edit
We ordered the tofu & vegetables, a mixed vegetable dish, vegetable fried rice, and a side order of noodles. Unfortunately, while they have a vegan menu and are very vegan friendly when ordering, it was probably some of the worst Chinese I've ever had. The veggies were very fresh, but the meals were laden with super soggy rice noodles and the tofu was silken (good for soups, not for deep frying) and covered in a slop of mushy corn starch that dripped off the tofu(clearly they didn't know how to properly fry tofu). The veggie fried rice was bland. Will not return. Chinese restaurants that have vegan-by-accident items are many times better (and many times cheaper). My partner ate the side order of noodles and that was all he could stomach.

Great Food and Restaurant - Edit
The restaurant has a nice setting. The food is consistent and good. The staff understand what vegan dishes include and don't include. I recommend getting fried rice with your dish instead of boiled rice.

Great Vegan Menu at Aroma! - Edit
Ask for the Vegetarian Menu when you arrive at the restaurant, and make sure to tell the staff that you are vegan. Everything on this Vegetarian Menu is vegan. The menu was devised in co-operation with the 'Cork Vegans' group, and the restaurant is fully aware of what vegan entails. The food is prepared and cooked separately from the meat and fish. The Vegetarian Menu can be viewed here: http://corkvegans.ie/AromaMenu.pdf. Highly recommended!
