Awesome cafe for vegan breakfast - Edit
Great value cooked breakfast with choice of leaf teas and four types of dairy free milk. Selection of vegan cakes (we were too full but they looked great) and snacks. Very friendly staff and seating less than a minute from the sea wall.

De ja vu - Edit
Visited the one in Bridport the day before, same chap serving in this one, lovely surprise as he remembered us and was very funny and friendly. Had the vegan breakfast, tasty with rosti and a courgette kofta, good flavours. I’d have liked a couple more things on my plate, but maybe that’s just me being greedy.

Ideal for a coffee and a cake! - Edit
Came in whilst wondering around Lyme Regis on holiday. Very pleasantly surprised to find this place had multiple milk alternatives and LOADS of cookies/cakes available. Will definitely pop in again if we’re down this way! 😊👍🏼

Gluten Free waffles! - Edit
I had a gluten free waffle with agave syrup, pomegranate and seeds. I'm vegan and gluten intolerant so haven't had one in years and it tasted great! It did come with a salad though, with dressing. I found this odd, didn't realise it was actually a lunch option rather than a dessert style option. Lots of teas and a cake counter full of gluten free cakes with half of them vegan!

5star worthy vegan dishes and vegan gluten free cakes - Edit
The aroma cafe is located right across the museum. The beautiful window painting disghuised this gem a little. The indoor followed along the same creative theme with chalk board messages and drawings.

This all was completed with an enthousiastic en super friendly service.

Breakfast visit! - Edit
Came for breakfast with some friends on a Saturday morning. The vegan options were clearly labelled. There was an option for changing the veggie breakfast to a vegan one by removing the scrambled egg and halloumi for a reduced price. As I still wanted a decent sized portion they were more than happy to give me an extra mushroom and potato rosti instead, as well as adding avocado spread to the toast which was fab.
Read moreWhen it came to it they had actually ran out of potato rostis so could only give me one, I did get another piece of avocado toast however so really couldn't complain!
All in all a lovely cafe with fresh food and more than happy to serve vegans. My friend even had a chai latte with oat milk. There were also two delicious vegan cakes on offer.
I will definitely return!
Pros: Very helpful staff, Accommodating , Fast service and fresh food

Good vegan meal options / would love to see more vegan cake choices! - Edit
The menu has clearly labelled vegan dishes and there is a good choice. The only negative is that there is only ever one choice of vegan cake and I’m not a huge fan of it. I would go way more often if they had more vegan cake choices or even just rotated some choices.

Delicious fresh food - Edit
Visited aroma cafe while on holiday recently and I had the vegan platter and a coffee with oat milk. Food was delicious! A fresh salad with a pesto dressing and pomegranate seeds, with various dips, including hummus (all home made), and pitta bread. Definitely recommend.

Good vegan choices - Edit
Attractive surroundings with a play area in the shape of a boat for children. Several vegan possibilities. I had a vegan platter with guacamole hummus, walnut and roast garlic pate, salad and pitta bread, which was very nice. Tropical smoothie to drink and a date and apple cake to finish (one of 3 vegan cakes available). Note that they are now closed on Tuesdays and that, like much of Dorset, they close early.

Lovely atmosphere and decent vegan choices - Edit
I was impressed by the range of vegan options on offer, with something under every section. I had really nice and reasonably priced hommus and salad sandwich with crisps and a pot of tea on my most recent visit. The food was well prepared and tasted really fresh and my partner loved his veggie option. The cafe has a very friendly informal atmosphere - for example it's not strict about shutting on time if there are customers. It has a nice community feel which we felt included in, even as holidaymakers rather than locals.

Cons: don't always have vegan cakes
