Aricha Sabich - Edit
First time trying sabich, it was really tasty! Staff were great, had a good understanding of veganism and switched out the hardboiled eggs for freshly cooked mushrooms. It was a huge portion, packed full of fresh fillings and sauces. Would recommend you do yourself a favour though and don’t try and eat this whilst walking! It gets very messy!

Super Tasty Sabich! - Edit
Make sure to ask for the vegan Sabich, with mushrooms instead of egg. It was a delight indeed, lots of toppings and sauces that blended together perfectly. Make sure to pick up the pickled peppers and pickled veg to add to it. A bit messy, but absolutely delicious and filling!

A Great Break from Falafels - Edit
I have eaten so many falafels in the Middle East during my trip that I was so glad to find this small sandwich shop which does not serve falafels. I ordered an Eggplant and mushroom sandwich and really enjoyed it!

Authentic Israeli Street Fare - Edit
As a tour guide, when I take people to the market, one of the toughest predicaments is " of all the incredible places with vegan options, where do I point visitors to?" One place I always recommend is "Sabicha Aricha". Aricha is a one hit wonder making exactly one menu item "The Sabich", which comes in vegetarian and vegan versions.
Read moreThe vegetarian version is 19 Shekels and has egg, eggplant, Israeli Salad, Pickles, scallions, and sauces. The Vegan option is 24 Sheks and replaces the egg with portobello mushrooms and wow is it worth the extra 5 shekels.
When you go, I recommend just letting them do their thing and just getting everything on it. They know exactly what amount of each ingredient to put in so that it's saucy and not oily, and exactly what size dollops of each sauce (Hummus, Tahini, Charif Spice, and Amba- a mango curry) to put on to create the classic old time Israel sabich flavor.
To quote a friend/vegan chef who I recently recommended it to. "The flavors took me to a different plane of existence".
Aricha's Sabichs are top notch, and their vegan version can go flavor for flavor against any regular sabich.
Overall Aricha is a great place to have a first Sabich. But just in general, if you want to try something that's authentic Israeli and wallet friendly, or if you are just craving good classic sabich flavors, then Aricha is a shuk experience to truly savor.
Pros: Packed. stuffed, meal in a pita, Perfect mixture of flavors, Fast, great prices, old time feel.
Cons: Green lettere sign over entrance is only in Hebrew, Small Without lots of seats. so u make new friends

Delicious, affordable and filling - Edit
Highly recommended street food, probably the best in the city. Just order the usual sabich and ask them to make it without the egg, or take the vegan option. I actually prefer the normal sabich without egg. My favourite food ever.

Cons: Crowded and loud inside, too close to a busy stree
