Ok food, - Edit
I did not expect much from a restaurant in the tourist spot of a tourist city. But because the real restaurants were closed, we gave this one a go.
Read moreIt was quite busy but the staff was friendly and fast. Also the food was served quickly. We had two out of three vegan dishes from the menu. The waiter was so attentive to double check when we ordered a just vegetarian dessert afterwards. Nice!
The taste of the food was just OK and a bit boring however.

Dull, pricey, unwelcoming staff - Edit
We had the vegan beyond meat burger and the vegan cordon bleu. Can’t recommend either of them.
Read moreThe burger wasnt seasoned at all and was definitely not grilled or fried, probably microwaved. No salt on the fries.
The Cordon Bleu was the deepest deep fried something I ever had. Crispy as wood on the outside, hot like lava on in the inside.
No vegan sauce available besides ketchup and mustard.
We had these two dishes and two beers and paid 60 CHF plus tip (although the waiter didn’t greet us, asked if our food was alright, checked if we want more drinks)
The location is nice, maybe go there for a drink and get some vegan burgers at McDonalds around the corner for half the price.

Got a non vegan frutti di mare dish - Edit
The selection is actually good. However I got the non-vegan frutti di mare dish served when I ordered the vegan which is my nightmare. Luckily I smelled it before eating it. So I told the waiter and then had to wait another 40min for my vegan dish to arrive. The dish size is quite small for the price. All in all not a great experience.

Absolutely recommend - Edit
They have a vegan section on their menu and a vegan dish on their „menu du jour“ so there‘s plenty of choices. The food is absolutely exquisite and we really enjoyed the service. We made a reservation because the restaurant is pretty full.

Highly Recommend - Edit
Argentino is a large, very busy restaurant—be sure to make reservations. It’s in a very high-traffic area, so not the place for a quiet, intimate dinner.
Read moreThe service was excellent—friendly, accommodating, very professional and efficient. Top-notch.
There is a vegan section on the menu with three main dish options, but there are also many pizzas that could be made vegan by leaving off the cheese. I had the vegan lasagna, which was delicious; it’s not a ‘vegetable lasagna’ but rather a very traditional Italian-style lasagna made with vegan cheese, and seitan instead of meat. My wife had a (non-vegan) pizza that she loved. The prices are normal for Swiss restaurants.
Pros: Excellent service , Great food - several vegan options
Cons: Very busy, not the place for a quiet dinner

Nicest vegan lasagne I've ever had - Edit
Good selection on mains on a separate section on the menu, and the dessert was different. Shame small choice of starters but asked for the pizza bread as it didn't have cheese and it was amazing. Also lovely vegan pannacotta

Gourmet Vegan Entrees - Edit
The menu featured three exquisite, delicious vegan options with two being quite unusual: beet and avocado tartare; a chickpea and couscous patty; and spaghetti bolognese. We ordered all three and split them three ways. The service was excellent. The server verified that we wanted plain bread not bread with any dairy or cheese touches.

Vegan options but nothing special - Edit
There are two vegan main dishes and a vegan burger and some vegan salads (e.g. tomato & avocado) on the menu. It's nice to find a restaurant that seves vegan dishes (other than pizza marinara) in Lugano, but the taste of the food wasn't amazing. It's okay but nothing worth coming back for.

Great for a Special Night Out! - Edit
Overall, a great place to treat yourself.
Read moreI had the avocado and beet tartar and the chocolate pie, which was more of a cake-brownie. Super delicious. Options were good! There was a dedicated vegan section, but also a burger and some pizza options too. Dessert options included the brownie and some fruit.
Very reasonable prices for Switzerland and a tourist area. My total came out to around 35 Francs for one person for dinner, drink, and dessert, which is very reasonable! Wasn't a lot of food to be fair, but if you have a bigger lunch before and go in for a nice night out (rather than a huge meal) then you'll have a great time.
Servers approach you in Italian but are fine to switch to English. Got a table for one with no wait, saw groups of three and up waiting for fifteen minutes, but I think reservations are also taken.
Atmosphere was super nice. Whether you get the patio area or the more 'alleyway' area, you'll really get the vibe of Lugano.
Pros: Food, Prices, Atmosphere
Cons: Small(ish) portions

Many options, nice location - Edit
In good weather this is a nice place to eat. You sit outside in the shade with a view of the city center plaza. The number of vegan options is quite decent, too, and if you run out you can more in the neighboring restaurant Tango.
