Great snack food - Edit
Note that Arepas 2 Go and Arepas To Go are 2 different places in Banos. I went to Arepas 2 Go where they had vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Both the arepa and empanada were fantastic, containing with roughly the same filings (black beans, avo, plantain). Big servings, getting both was enough for a main meal.

I ordered a juice (guanabana) without sugar and it was delicious. I also ordered a vegan arepa and empanada. It was almost too much food to have all of this but I managed to finish it. It was full of veggies including sautéed broccoli, onions, bell pepper, carrot and some fresh avocado and served with a yummy hot sauce. Friendly accommodating service and good food.

Fantastic vegan empanadas - Edit
We went here for a light dinner and went for a vegan empanada each. They were so good that we ordered two more. Good size and made Venezuelan-style (like empanadas are supposed to). When paying we found out that the vegan and vegetarian empanadas are bigger and therefore cost $2.5 instead of the flat $2 listed as the price for all the empanadas. Still recommended!

This place has 1 vegan option when it comes to the empanadas and arepas. Was $2 per empanada and $4.50 for the arepa. The staff was friendly and knew what vegan meant. Food was good too - a great place for a quick and filling bite!

These arepas are to die for! Ingredients are fresh and local and the bread is so tasty! My friend is a vegetarian and I am vegan. We went back two days in a row because they were so good and really filling. I got two in the late afternoon and skipped dinner…one was perfect for lunch the next day! My vegan arepas included black beans, plantains and avocado, or a mixed veggies with black beans, yummy carrot sauce on the side. The owner is very nice and we enjoyed chatting with him. He is also very accommodating to your needs. Highly recommend!
