We got the bagel blt (with Cesar salad) and Benedict (with home style potatoes) and the alcoholic drink “le jardin” - the drink was excellent and the food was good too! Staff was friendly and on it, would go back!

Beautiful dinner - Edit
Archway is a good looking restaurant with a good music selection and nice ambience. The fantastic and creative vegan food only makes it better. There were so many interesting dishes we over ordered. Portions are generous. We had bao, lionshead karaage and dumplings to start. Followed by mushroom steak and cauliflower schwarma. The steak was a 100% standout dish. Incredible. But all tasted great. So nice to have this place close to my neighbourhood. Awesome.

Get the Kaarage - Edit
Archway is a mid-tier vegan restaurant serving up classic western dishes that are fully plant-based and delicious. The restaurant is cozy, adorned with house plants that really bring out a sense of calmness while dining.
Read moreMy friend decided to split their Lion's Mane Mushroom Kaarage ($19) along with their Truffle Fettuccini ($29) and the Maitake Steak ($28). We absolutely loved the mushrooms as they were perfectly battered and fried, and you don't often find lion's mane mushrooms in restaurants.
For the mains, the fettuccini was the standout with the slight hint of truffles being used to elevate the flavor. Our Maitake mushroom steak was okay as well. I felt it lacked some depth in flavor and relied heavily on the sauce laid underneath, which was still delicious. The polenta sticks accompanying the mushrooms were food too. I would stick with the kaarage and noodles for this one.
We also ended the meal with their Baklava Pear ($14) which was aromatic, sweet, and a great way to end the meal.
Prices are a bit steeper than I like but it was still great to experience one of the best vegan restaurants in town. Reservations are a must.
Pros: Creative vegan options
Cons: Not a lot of protein included in dishes

Incredible!! - Edit
We have traveled the world and this is truly some of the best food — vegan or otherwise — that we have experienced anywhere. We ordered from the brunch menu (available until 4pm! Even during the week!) and both the sweet and savory options were superlative, demonstrating nuance without resorting to the “more is more” conceit that too many vegan restaurants substitute for sophistication. Neither prohibitively expensive nor stuffy in atmosphere, this is a destination restaurant and we look forward to planning our return.

Probably best vegan restaurant in Montreal - Edit
Been meaning to go for a while, and now wish I had become a regular of Archway sooner. Exquisite food, very original, cool atmosphere, excellent service. Yes, it is on the expensive side - but what do you expect for vegan fine dining. Highly recommended - and if you haven’t been to Verdun, it’s worth the detour.

Food was exceptional, very expensive, service super - Edit
We dropped in for lunch on Tuesday, I had piri-piri and my friend had the pancakes, and we shared. The piri was well presented, although the rice was solid clumpy in spots, it was a good tasting dish. The pancakes were perhaps a mistake as they didn’t really go with the piri and we felt bloated after snacking on them (didn’t finish). The price was a bit of a shock for lunch. I will go back and get an exotic for the price, might as well.

They graciously accommodated us as walk-ins for Sunday brunch. Service was excellent, though brunch for 2 was almost $80 before tip (we each ordered a hot beverage, juice/smoothie, main dish)

Mon restaurant préféré - Edit
Ahhhh Archway! 12/10!!!

Wonderful dining experience - Edit
I first tried this place when it just opened and was underwhelmed. I recently decided to go back, and I’m sure glad I did! My spouse and I had the table d’hôte, we each tried different plates, and they were each more delicious than the next. The service was wonderful and the restaurant itself looks beautiful. Try this place!

Disappointing experience - Edit
The service and atmosphere were excellent, but the food I ordered wasn’t up to par.
Read moreI ordered the Baklava Pancakes which had a thick, heavy texture and the flavours didn’t mix well. I also had the Chicken & Waffles, and although the mock chicken was good, the polenta waffles were very grainy. My chai latte also tasted like flavoured water. I didn’t finish my food or my drink, which is very unusual for me.
These dishes were recommended to me by my server. I was really looking forward to coming here based on the reviews and I seem to be in the minority here, but unfortunately this was overall a disappointing experience.
