Tasty pizza

They have done tasty vegan pizza for a while but have now added the option for vegan cheese. Great staff. Often busy so might need to reserve a table.

Horrible

Went to Archies as I had been told there were vegan options. I ordered the vegan pizza which was literally a pizza base with tomato sauce, 2 slices of tomato and a few olives.

The second time I went I ordered the vegan pasta (thinking this MAY be better than the last. Specifically asked them not to put Parmesan in it, but found it in my meal. Asked them to replace it (got a rude response) and the dish came out again fairly quickly. I think they just put more sauce on to disguise the cheese.

Cons: Does not cater to vegans

Very Accommodating

The owner/ manager who said he was vegan was super helpful and came over to tell me they could make me a better pizza than the one I ordered with more veggies for the same price. Pizza was really good and good place to go with meat eating friends. The waitress also said they could make something else if I wanted something other than pizza.

Pros: Accommodating , Nice atmosphere and location

Cons: Doesn’t list vegan options on the menu

Newmarket Evening Meal Oasis

We started our New Zealand vacation in the Newmarket area of Auckland so we would be near the Auckland War Museum. After our day at the museum, which closed at 5pm, we walked back to the New Market area only to find that the fully vegan restaurants were closed by 6pm! We found Archie's Pizzaria which mainly serves non-vegan food, but they were extremely helpful in pointing out dishes on the menu that could be made vegan. We had a delicious wood-fired vegan pizza and a lovely salad with all kinds of vegetables in it. It was beautifully presented and made to specifications. I would definitely visit Archie's again if I return to the New Market area of Auckland at dinner time.
