Nicely stocked health foods store with lots of vegan products available. I planned to eat at the café and they informed me that part of the business is now closed, which was a bit upsetting.
The food is always yummy and the staff are always kind. I recommend their hot chocolate, soups and salad/hummus pita bread downstairs in the shop for a quick bite. The shop is amazing and you can find many niche vegan products.
Hey Joanna, sad to hear about your last experience at Archie Browns. Just to say that we are launching an actual new menu this coming Monday and 90% of our menu is now vegan or come with a vegan option. Hope to see you again soon ?
Archie Browns has a health food type shop downstairs, a takeaway food counter, then the main cafe upstairs. The place is vegetarian rather than vegan, but there are always tonnes of vegan and gluten-free options. The farinata on the specials board (flavour changes, but they always seem to have one) is a great choice and it comes with their really nice salads. The salad bowl is also extremely nice and they have different salads in it every time I go. They also have vegan ice cream - so they make vegan milkshakes and vegan crumble with vegan custard or ice cream. As it's vege, just say you want things vegan to make sure. There are also vegan/vege/gluten-free cakes on the counter. With food options like the sweet potato and broccoli burger and vegan burrito it's quite appealing to non-veggies also.
We came across this little place randomly on a day out in Truro and decided to grab a quick lunch. It's pretty small, and being busy the service was a bit slow, but the food made up for that. They easily catered for my gluten free vegan diet at the time, and it was very tasty. The shop downstairs was also a bonus as it stocked so many great vegan staples!
Visited here yesterday with my family. Absolutely delighted! We loved this place and look forward to returning.
The energy is friendly, light and really welcoming. The menu offers loads of great options. All vegetarian and lots available for vegans.
We ordered the delicious, colourful salad plate with hummus, grilled veggies and the vegan quesadilla which included refried beans in a baked tortilla along with spicy salsa and salad. All so healthy and delicious. There were lots of things on the menu that I'd love to try.
Awesome to find a well stocked health food store at the same venue, to stock up on supplies for our travels. We'll be back for sure.
Visiting Truro for the day, to see a band (Reef). We were lucky that we checked HappyCow before we went there. We had high expectations about the place and they were not only met, they were exceeded! We'd rank the food to be way beyond standard, both in terms of quality and taste but also the variety of the menu (standard menu options plus daily dishes). They already have vegan options but also the possibility to veganize the others. My vegan-hamburger-lovin-wife ranked their burger to be "the best evva". Large portions and very nice staff made the experience even better. We didn't try their cakes nor desserts but just having the option of more than one vegan cake/tart option is good enough. Being able to pay with card plus the fact that they got a small (all biological) store below the restaurant adds to the overall rating as travelers cannot only fill their hungry stomachs but also get some groceries, including local produce at the same time! Highly recommended!

Run out of interesting vegan options - Edit
Was a bit sad to find they had a selection of interesting main meals, but none left that were vegan. No longer doing vegan custard either!
