Filling falafels!

Ararat is a nice little place to have some simple and decent food. The prices and portions are decent. The menu is available in English and the staff speak English too.

I had the czorba (lentil soup) and falafel set (falafel with rice and veg). The rice was quite average, but I had the choice between having rice or chips/fries which was good! The falafel itself was pretty good.

The menu offers extensive veg options and anything that can be vegan is clearly marked as such!

One big drawback is that the only vegan sauce they have available is the spicy sauce, which is ok but may not be everyone's favourite.

In all, if you want some decent cheap food, Ararat should be right up your street!

Pros: simple honest food, vast veg*n options

Cons: plastic cutlery and paper plates!, the only vegan sauce is spicy sauce

A Turkish treat!

I would definitely go back here. It's a nice family ran eatery and you get a lot of fresh vegetables with every dish. The Czorba, lentil soup, was served with lemon and grilled bread. Very filling and delicious. The cieciorollo was made vegan by omitting the yoghurt sauce. I opted for a spicy sauce and it really complemented the chickpeas and the many fresh vegetables in the wrap.

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, English menu, outdoor seating, Lots of vegetables

Cons: Plastic cutlery and paper plates
