Really lovely quirky setting with grapevines hanging down. Great mix and match China and lovely art work. Food was delicious.

Beautiful place in the countryside - Edit
A handful of vegan options and more veggie options. The place itself is nice with beautiful scenery, next to the Forest of Bowland. The food was okay, but they need to make their falafel more flavourful

What A Shame - Edit
I've been to this spot on a good few occasions and sadly I've had issues every single time I've been. If all you want is a cake and a drink then I'd definitely say go for it. As for the vegan or "adapted for vegan" meal choices, they are lack lustre. I've had the vegetarian (adjusted for vegan) breakfast served with eggs and butter, which was readily sorted, to then a staff member come running saying the sausages aren't vegan! 10 minutes later the sausages came out, by this time the rest of the food was cold, sadly they weren't very pleasant and were left. The menu does state the vege breakfast is served with vegan sausages, so I'd check before you order. The "overfilled barmcake" was anything but, a dollop of hummus and 2 very chewy sundried tomatoes was the first experience. I tried this again today, my daughter complained as she was appalled at what they served me, plus no rocket in the bun, as is stated on the menu. This arrived separately following the complaint, although it wasn't the freshest looking, it added some much needed flavour. I've been when the cafe is busy and in the case of the breakfast, when myself and friend the only ones there and as I say issues everytime so I can't put the problems down to how busy the place was at the time...
Read moreThe soup was delicious, the chips are yummy and the cakes are divine. Other than that I won't be going back anytime soon. Shame, as it's in such a lovely location. Hopefully, if you try it, you'll have a better experience then I did.

Tasty food in an idyllic spot. - Edit
I was struggling to find many places catering to a vegan diet in the area, but this place had several vegan options. I had the roast vegetable sandwich, which was very tasty. The setting was beautiful and dogs are allowed inside.

Lovely cosy place to warm up in after a trip up Nicky Nook. Limited vegan options but excellent quality. Has plant milk and spread and now a good range of vegan cakes.

Plenty of Choice for Vegans - Edit
Apple Store Cafe is located in a walled garden and glasshouse and is a favourite stop for cyclists, one being a friend of mine, who sent me photos of the vegan options, so we decided to have a run out for lunch. Apple Store Cafe is in Wyresdale Park in the beautiful Trough of Bowland and caters for weddings, parties and there are on site glamping and camping facilities.
Read moreThere are plenty vegan options, including vegan breakfast with Linda McCartney sausages, hummus, spiced carrot & roast red pepper sandwich, a vegan Huevos Rancheros, bean & vegetable burger, all clearly marked on the menu and they offer Pure margarine for their vegan customers too.
I chose a peppermint tea, with a vegan Greek salad and some chunky chips.
The salad was delicious, it would have been nice to have some vegan cheese to replace the usual feta but it was very tasty, a big portion and the crispy kale really made the dish. The chips were perfect and a generous side dish, so much so I had to leave some sadly, I was popping. There were no vegan cakes that I could see and adding these would make this place even more perfect.
I loved the quirkiness of the glasshouse, with its mismatched furniture, furnishings and crockery and real grapes growing in the roof, never seen that before.
I think Apple Store Cafe is fabulous and will definitely return.
Pros: Vegan options, Vegan margarine, Vegan options clearly labelled
Cons: No vegan cakes
