Animalia is a prominent animal advocacy organization in Finland founded in 1961. Animalia promotes animal rights and welfare. Animalia opposes any treatment of animals that inhibits their natural behaviour or causes them pain or distress. Animalia works to reduce the consumption of animal products and promotes veganism. Main targets are solving the problems related to farm animals, fur farming and animal experimentation in Finland and in Europe. Animalia has a comprehensive library (animal rights, philosophy, veganism, vegan cook books etc.) and a shop where you can buy t-shirts, books, postcards and other stuff. Vegaaniliitto (Vegan Society of Finland) is located at the same address. Open by appointment. Library still available. Open Mon 11:00-15:00, Tue-Fri 10:00-15:00.
