I love this place

The food is just fantastic, you get everything freshly made and quite quick. Prices are fair and portions are good. Definitely come there on a Monday or Tuesday to get the bao buns. Order multiple dishes and share them with friends. Highly recommend!

Pros: Delicious, Authentic

good bao buns

I had the tofu bao buns. they were good but a little pricey. they don‘t have many vegan options. the lemonade was ok but wouldn‘t order again.

Takes a while, but fresh

Only had the summerrolls as a snack here. They were good and fresh, but not among the best I've had. Our order (the rolls) took 20 min. to prepare, which I thougt is quite a long time voor 2 sommerrolls.

Nice but overhyped

Nice Vietnamese food, but a bit too expensive and too much hype

Staff misunderstood my order and then told me I should 'pay attention' that they get it right. We did eventually get our did but after 20 extra minutes, despite having ordered already 40 minutes before. All this for fairly simple dishes

lofty and costly

Had the summer rolls and a hot ginger and mint drink, which was nice. But these are fairly simple dishes. Have vegan options for some of the dishes of the small menu. I didn't understand why you need four people in the kitchen so serve four little tables.

Pros: fresh ingredients

Cons: only costly drinks

Best summer rolls and pho in Mainz!

An o ban is a very tiny restuarant run by younger people - this makes it feel quite fresh and different from other places in Mainz. I love the atmosphere, but be prepared to sit on a tiny stool eating your food.

Also, this is not a vegan place, but their tiny menu ahs two vegan options on it: Summer rolls and pho soup, both with crispy fried tofu. I have not been to Vietnam but have eaten a lot of summer rolls at a lot of places and I think that the ones here are amongst the best I had so far. I absolutely recommend you try them out when you are in the area!

Pros: Small, but very nice selection

Cons: More vegan options (salad etc.) would be nice!
