So happy this place exists.

While traveling on a cold rainy windy day, this place hit the spot. It was so tasty I went back the next day before I left town.

Pros: All vegan , Nice owner, Good prices

Quality Dishes with Fair Pricing

This is hands down my favourite Vietnamese place to eat at in Cabramatta.

Bun Bo Hue is my favourite dish to order from here. It has the right amount of savouriness and you can control the spiciness of the soup. It's filled with a variety of vegetables and seitan - I love the fried beancurd sprinkled on top!

The staff speak little english but they are friendly. The quality of the dishes are always consistent and the prices are fair.

When the restaurant is busy, you share tables with other people. Although this is not an issue with me, seating does tend to be on the tighter side especially when the food trolley comes around and when people are shuffling around.

Another thing to note - all the dishes from the menu are vegan however I'm not sure if the desserts in the fridge are. I've seen a Paul's Milk jug in there before unfortunately.

Pros: Generous servings for the price, Friendly staff, Food served quickly

Cons: Tight seating arrangements - issue when busy

Best vegan in Cabra

The most famous dish this place is known for by locals is their Bun Rieu (Tomato and Faux Crab Soup). Other highly recommendations items are the Bun Dac Biet (Special Rice Noodles) and Com Tam Dac Biet (Special Broken Rice) which comes a vegan fried egg. These are definitely must trys from this restaurant. I have tried other Vietnamese vegan/vegetarian places in Cabra, but this restaurant is by far the best!

Pros: Lots of options!, Very affordable. Some dishes are under $10.

Have been coming here for 20 years+

I have been eating at this joint since my high school days and it’s still as good as it was back then. This is by far one of my most favourite places to eat in the world and my non-vego husband also rates it as one of his fav vego restaurants. I usually order noodle soup dishes such as Pho, Bun bo hue, bun rieu or hu tieu. My husbands and kids love the sour soup (canh chua) with rice and the veg fish diy wraps. we also love trying dishes from the Bain Marie. Service is always with a smile and they sometimes give my kids free toys or snacks.
Tips: they have an extra satay chilli sauce on the table that is super delicious!!!

Pros: Cheap delicious eats , Many Vietnamese dishes

Cons: Can get very busy and limited seatings, Hard to find parking in Cabramatta , Cramped space

Ready to eat meal

Tasted like chinese faux meats in vietnamese sauce. I wish I tried the a la carte meals but I only had the takeout dish with sausage, tofu and liver like gluten meat which I am impressed by the texture.

No frills

An Lac is a vegetarian restaurant in the ‘in country’ city Vietnam, authentic style. Nothing up market or fancy. Friendly and efficient service. It is Cash only, although there is a teller just down the street (coming out of the restaurant to the right, a few shops down). The food was plentiful, and reasonably priced. Some dishes were very tasty, whilst I found some a little bland, insipid, and watery. We left having eaten our fill without feeling heavy. I liked the smokey taste and smell of many of the dishes.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I love the food here! It’s so delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly. My gf and i came here for lunch one time with her 2 year old boy. He was crying and playing up and the ladies were polite enough to give him some candy and tried calming him 🧡 Must try the broken rice dish!

Pros: Delicious Vietnamese food , Wide range to choose from, The tea they serve is so good

Cons: Cash only, no card, Service can be a little slow at times

Take away rating

We were passing by and decided to grab some take away. Generous servings and very cheap. One dish was a cucumber and zucchini stir fry which we didn't like. The other was a mock meat dish which was ok, but a bit too salty for us. The pudding cups from the fridge were AMAZING!!! Would like to try eating in next time to see how it compares

Reasonably priced, tasty lunch

We came here for lunch on a weekday and it was moderately busy. The menu was reasonably extensive and the photos were appetising. We ordered deep-fried spring rolls as a starter, which were very nice, and two mains. The fried rice with fish was delicious with the burnt, caramelised flavour of the rice. The stir-fried yellow noodles with mushroom and vegetables was tasty, nice and savoury, but a little on the oily side (but nothing that offended me too much). Meals were reasonably priced at around $10, so I'd certainly come back to try other dishes.

Pros: Tasty food, Reasonable prices

Simple, delicious food!

I had a huge craving for crispy "chicken". We arrived to this restaurant and chose it due to reviews. The menu was a little difficult to read but the waitress was so lovely, she helped me with what I wanted. The food was amazing! Humble, satisfying, delicious food! Can't wait to go back.

Pros: Good sized portions, Lots of additional sauces at your table, Hot tea on table

Cons: Menu a little difficult, Parking is hard to find

Wonderful food

Great service and delicious food. Tasted just like traditional Vietnamese food. Even my part-omni husband loved it. And SO cheap. Plus free hot tea (Oolong I think) for the duration of our meal. I would highly recommend making the trip and visiting this restaurant. Many meals to choose from, I can't wait to visit them again. The only downside was the fridge full of *desserts?? and containers of mock-meat?? - I don't know as they weren't labelled and don't appear to be on the menu.

Pros: Delicious, authentic Vietnamse food, Excellent value , Friendly staff

Cons: Container foods not labelled in English

Fresh Spring rolls at An Lac

Fresh Spring Rolls live up to the high energy expectations of vegetarians. The An Lac one surely give you that. You get the round rice paper rolls and some water to dip em in. Once dipped and made just wet put the rice sheet onto the round plastic tray so the paper is laid out ready to roll. From the big plate of fresh greens and sprouts put some on the middle of the rice paper in a row. Add some veg protein piece and a bit of noodle. Start rolling from the paper edge close to you. Tuck in the sides and complete the roll. They provide a nice sauce to dip your roll into. If you don't like the fermented tofu taste ask for the sweet sauce and add some of your own chilli.

Pros: Clean , Friendly

Cons: Pari next to rail line not john street

First visit and NOT disappointed!

I visited for a quick, LATE lunch today and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Huge menu with almost too many choices and my won tun soup and Rice with 'shredded pork' was delicious and the portion was huge. Lovely, delicate Vietnamese flavours. Tea offered with the meal a very nice touch. Will be back very soon for sure!

Pros: Choice, Quality, Price

Beautiful Pho but make sure no onion no garlic

Beautiful pho, really nice hearty soup, great noodles. But be careful to keep reminding them no onion and no garlic if you are on a strict Buddhist Vegetarian diet like me. I ordered summer rolls with mock prawn and ham which are so divine and huge servings (4 big rolls for only $6.00). But the sauce was suspiciously garlicky. Very strong unidentified smell. But when I asked for their confirmation, they told me definitely no garlick inside. I bought another take away summer rolls home and finally I learnt that the same sauce they gvae me earlier on actually contained garlicks! A disappointment for me. It gets me thinking if someone allergic to peanuts and were told no peanuts in their dishes (which is unlikely - most dishes has some sort of nuts) - then it would be dangerous if they dont tell the truth. But I guess all it takes is better communications with the staff next time.

Pros: Great food, Huge servings, Great value

Cons: Lied about ingredients, Has onion and garlicks

Excellent food and selection

This is probably my favorite Vietnamese vegetarian restaurant that I've ever eaten at. They have a huge selection (over 100 dishes), big portions (typical of Vietnamese food, actually) and reasonable prices. They're very friendly too. Strong recommend. It's an hour away from Sydney--so a bit far--but you need some good restaurants in the outer ring too...right?

Pros: delicious, economical, excellent selection

Cons: remote (from Sydney)
