Amazing experience

I recently spent an evening enjoying the “Reserve by Amor y Amargo” hidden tasting menu, and was blown away by the entire experience. It consists of 5 drinks and 4 small plates, all presented and explained by Sother Teague (Amor y Amargo’s founder). It’s also presented as a communal experience with the other guests making it a wonderful step back into normalcy. All the necessary precautions are taken, but you get to chat with the other patrons and host! As long as you’re ready for 5 delicious drinks over the 2 hour experience, this will likely be a highlight of your year!

Absolutely flooring!

Vegan or not, going here just to experience the banter offered by Sother Teague is worth the price! I have been to all of the high end vegan spots in NYC, and this place takes the cake in terms of being an experience and the speakeasy atmosphere. Teague spends the entire night with the room explaining the cocktails and the small plates they are paired with. The cocktails are out of this world good. The food was also extremely impressive. If you are debating this, go! While this is a fantastic eating experience, it is a drinking centered event. I would not bring anyone who does not consume alcohol, obviously.

Pros: Sother Teague, Incredible cocktails, Learn so much about bitters

Once of Best Bars in NYC Now with Vegan Small Plates

Award winning bitters and amaro focused bar in the heart of the East Village. Excellent range of delicious cocktails and high quality service led by Sother Teague. Required to add food to the menu to reopen during COVID, they now also offer a menu of vegan small plates. Part of the Ravi Derossi group of vegan restaurants and bars.

Also opening a general store for bitters and bar equipment next door in the old Mother of Pearl space.
