Decent vegan choices - Edit
English menu available and at least one of the staff member speaks English. Limited seating and it’s very busy during lunch and dinner times.

Homely Food - Edit
The atmosphere was cozy. Despite it being a small place, the friendliness of the family who run is welcoming. Their portions are enough to share, and the price is low.

Day 1: absolutely delicious!! Best food we have had in HK so far; incredible dumplings and hotpot and lovely staff!
Read moreUpdate: came back the very next day… we are officially obsessed! We had the dumplings and tofu eggplant hotpot again, and also tried the mixed vegetable foods, avocado and vegetable fried rice, sweet and sour ‘chicken’, and salt and pepper tofu. It was all absolutely delicious (and enjoyed by our two omnivore companions too)!
Update number 2: we did, in fact, go back a third time. They were out of dumplings (a sad, sad day) but we did really enjoy the XO fried rice. Trust me, you NEED to go here — this is one of my favourite restaurants ever!!
P.S. according to some lovely HK locals we met here, the restaurant does not use egg, so pretty much everything is fully vegan!

Delicious home cooked vegetarian food - Edit
As others have said don't judge a book by its cover. Delicious home cooked food with friendly / warm staff. Vegetarian dishes cooked well with lots of green vegetable options. Highly recommended.

Nestled in Mong Kok is one of the most delish vegetarian Chinese restaurants we’ve found. This kitchen doesn’t look like much nor does it have a lick of English on the shop front, but don’t let that fool you. It serves outstanding vege dishes like what we had; eggplant and tofu hot pot (a customer favourite) and vegetarian tofu wonton soup. The matriarchs of the business were super lovely and chatted away to us the entire time while serving. Two meals were $200 HKD. A customer who sat across from us said that Amazing Kitchen is her favourite restaurant in HK. We can see why!

Tasty tasty! - Edit
Definitely a very local spot that seems to have been around for many years. Some may say it’s old and outdated in there but it felt like a homey and local spot.
Read moreAll Chinese options and fully vegetarian. The dishes we ordered were all flavorful and fantastic. I definitely recommend the Salt and Pepper Mushrooms - the texture of them were so good. The substitute ‘meat’ used for the pork dish also had a great texture.
Pros: How local it seemed, Flavor of food, Friendliness of staff
Cons: Decorations, It didn’t feel super clean inside

Lunch Set 2 Veggies and Rice 32HKD - Edit
Lunch Set with two veggies rice and the soup. Not bad abd definitely popular for regular locals. I would go if I were in the area but wouldn't deliberately come. However they seem to have good entres off the set menu that I wouldn't mind trying sometime!

Ordered the lunch set, it was very tasty, super quick and only 32$. The element of surprise is also very exciting. The rest of the menu looks delicious and the service was ( slightly wacky but ) very friendly.

Amazing Kitchen, Hong Kong - Edit
This place is defo not all vegan despite what for some reason some people say elsewhere. Staff tell us they use honey and cow milk.

Good value - Edit
I've eaten here a couple times, and the food was good and the service nice. I ordered the set lunch once and was good value for money. Another time I was with a friend and we ordered off the menu, food was pretty tasty but that value ratio was reduced.

Our Favorite! - Edit
They opened the restaurant for us during a typhoon when everything else in the area was closed. Very nice folks, though we communicated mostly through pantomime. The food was tastier (had flavor, spices) than the other vegetarian food we had in HK. We came back twice and enjoyed the food both times. The menu listings seemed to be a suggestion, as we received slightly different ingredients than what the menu showed each time. (The first time we chalked it up to the typhoon. The second time, we weren't so sure.)

Large portions, quick food - Edit
Despite being a little unkempt this street-style restaurant serves large hearty, delicious meals. A true delicacy is the sweet and sour mushroom pork. The mince tofu and char siu dishes weren't bad either, and you get a large serving of rice for some dishes. It was more expensive than I expected but that being said it was still a lot cheaper than most vegan/vegetarian places. At lunchtimes the shop does get crowded so don't be surprised if you have to share a table with strangers. Also, if you're a hygiene freak, don't use the bathroom...

Great food at a great price - Edit
I got a bit overwhelmed by the fully vegan 4+ pages menu (in english) consisting of vegetable, tofu and mock meat dishes.
Read moreI decided on the mapo tofu in spicy sauce with rice (36HKD) and was not dissapointed!
Although it wasn't as spicy as I expected it was still very tasty and well made. And the rice wasn't just the usual plain white steamed rice that you get in most places.
When I tried to tip the very friendly staff turned it down and when I still insisted they put it in the donation box.
Tea was also included in the price.
All in all a very nice fully vegan chinese place.
I know where I'm going for lunch tomorrow :>
