Nice Upscale Place - Edit
Just moved to a much bigger spot just off Atlantic Avenue (old location of Mellow Mushroom). Their small plates are well made, presented very nicely and are delicious. Staff is well versed in vegan and very helpful. Vegan options are well marked on the menu with lots to choose from.

Great Bakery with Tasty Vegan Options! - Edit
I was so excited to try out Amar's bakery. We have eaten at Amar (the sister restaurant) twice, but were excited to try the bakery once opened. To my surprise, a significant portion of their options were plant based! We tried the lental and chickpea pies, tabouli, olive oil lemon mini loaf, and almond milk cappuccino. Everything was delicious, but we really loved the chickpea hand pie, as recommended by one of the employees! It came with this phenomenal sauce that was also vegan. I will always stop by this place when in delray beach for a vegan breakfast/lunch. If you haven't been, you have to try it!

Great experience! I wish there was a 3.5 or the a place with yummy vegan options could be more than 4 stars. I tried the Restaurant Month special and chose falafels and the cauliflower as appetizers. I followed it up with the vegan eggplant entree. Everything was really good, and I took half of it home for lunch tomorrow(pita included). They also substituted the vegan chocolate cake for the baklava.
Read moreGreat tahini sauce, and good flavors throughout. I think the entrees could use a bit more garlic, and personally I wouldn’t cook the eggplant as long, it was a bit mushy for my taste. The cake has good flavor but it’s dry.

The fact that their “Taste of Amar” can be totally vegan is already amazing in of itself. The sweet potato kibbeh and cauliflower dish are my personal favorites, however they have a wonderful eggplant entre and super authentic flavors in all their mezze. Don’t even get me started on the chocolate tahini cake dessert 🤤

Lots of Vegan Apps - Edit
Loved all the choices offered as both hot and cold mezza dishes (small plates). Had the eggplant, beet salad, lentils and onions and the felaful. Served with what seemed like homemade pita. My least favorite dish was the felaful because they were over cooked and dry. We order these four dishes for two of us and plenty left for lunch the next day. Would def recommend and go back next time I visit.

Amar has so many clearly labeled vegan items on the menu! Several cold and hot Mezze apps and a delicious stuffed eggplant entree. Even desserts! Their tasting menu can be 100% vegan. One thing is for sure, you will not leave disappointed! they also have a bakery in Boynton Beach that has so many vegan baked goods from fresh sourdough, cookies, and my favorite (lemon olive oil cake).

Not your ordinary Mediterranean experience, 5 stars for vegan options! More than half the menu is vegan, one of the owners and manager/ server is vegan and very knowledgeable about the options, you can have a full vegan meal here from drinks to apps to dinner to dessert and leave full and happy! Great for mixed families/ couples too!
