An all-vegan pop-up at Leman Locke Hotel in Aldgate East has a bright & light sophisticated vibe. The sophistication continues in the colorful, creative presentation of the food. Recommended to try the laksa. The chef draws inspiration from global street food cultures rather than working with meat and dairy substitutes. Reported closed August 2023.

Creative plant-based restaurant. It's a pity it's now closed. Hope they'll find a new venue

This is permanent closed. The website indicates that they are looking for a new location. I hope they do soon as it looked like an excellent restaurant.

Value for money - Edit
The earlier bird special from 5 to 6 is £28, and while that is not McDonald's rates, it's still cheaper for what you get.

Amazing food - Edit
The restaurant is difficult to find from street level as it is on the first floor of a hotel. However, once you find it, you will be rewarded with excellent food. There are a range of well presented and tasty small plates mostly inspired by Asian cuisines. Highly recommended.

Fav restaurant of all time - Edit
Honestly my favourite restaurant of all time. This is always the first place we go to when we visit London. The perfect balance of a little fancy but not pretentious or too expensive. Everything on the menu is delicious. The only fault I have is that I wish they expanded their drinks menu a little. Everything else is a 10/10 in all aspects.

Innovative and fresh - Edit
We really enjoyed our meal in alter. The dishes were innovative. The fried pizza dough was amazing, but I recommend also trying the kung pao crackers. Additionally, the decoration is very fancy, but the place is not expensive at all. It would be a great place for a date or an evening dinner.

Mind blowingly good! - Edit
This place really surprised me. The food was amazing and really tasty. Tried all the startes, from the pizza dough (SO GOOD!), to the rice crackers and pickled vegetables. Delicious! Had the sticky rice salad as a main, and also tasted the pho - wow, it was all so good! The woman who served us (Nelly) was really friendly and helpful as well 😍 Would absolutely recommend and go again!

Located on the first floor of a hotel building it could be easy to miss, but don’t! 😀

I wanted to like it more than I did - Edit
Having spent many years in Asia I was excited to find this place. Unfortunately I couldn't quite find the magic in the food.
Read moreThe laksa was more like curry than what I know from Singapore and Malaysia. Xian noodles looked great but ended up fairly tasteless.
Mushroom miso soup however was delicious.
Service was good and ambiance is interesting but I didn't get the experience I was hoping for.
