Serves meat, vegan options available. A Mexican slow food kiosk run by a family from Oaxaca. Re-opened after COVID-19, at which time they launched a separate vegetarian menu where all items can be made vegan - and not by just omitting certain ingredients. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-4:00pm. I love their tacos 🌮🌮🌮 - Edit
It’s not easy finding good tacos in Hawaii, and it’s even harder to find vegan ones! I’m from Texas, so I be craving Mexican food like all the time 😂 This little spot is located right by the Aloha Tower and has a vegan section on their menu with some pretty solid options. I always get the 5 vegan tacos with v chorizo v cheese and usually just share with my boyfriend unless I’m feeling ravenous lol. But it’s honestly a pretty sweet deal and cheaper than most places I’ve been to. The people who work here are also super friendly. ✨

It's a Mexican food truck. But it's got good vegan options, and I've always enjoyed my food here. Staff is super friendly; it seems like a family affair.

Aloha Tortilla Factory and Cafe:
Read moreSmall little hut on campus at Hawaii Pacific university.
They have a clearly stated vegan/vegetarian menu and they are very easy to accommodate.
I got the Burrito with vegan cheese, vegan chorizo with chips and guac on the side a smoothie.
Great presentation, great taste, can’t compare to gordos but it’s still great for a lil spicy burritto
Cool service, slow service [but it seemed to be a 1-2 man crew] (worth it? I’d say so :))
Price- reasonable for the quality.
Would I go back? Maybe actually
Would I recommend? Yep
I would say it was a very good 4/5
Gordos still rules supreme as best Mexican vegan food on the island.
For it to be perfect would probably be even more menu items I would say.
Parking is at the Aloha Tower

Flavorless - Edit
Got a burrito and 3 tacos. Everything was bland. Potatoes, mushrooms, beans…nothing was seasoned. Salsa tasted store bought and diluted. Tortillas seemed to have come out of a packet as well and not freshly made or anything.

Aloha Tortilla is my weekly go to. Fortunate to work a just a few stores down from this delicious find. I'm not vegan but the vegan tacos have so much flavor they've become my usual. I normally get "the works". I'm not completely sure about the ingredients but one is the seasoned potatoes w/ onion and jalapeños, one with soy bean picadillo + black beans, and the last is the sautéed baby portabello mushrooms w/ some filling I can't quite say for certain. All topped with some rotating surprise combination of avocados, pico de gallo, & vegan cheese. Would give it 5 stars if system didn't reserve rating for fully vegan and vegetarian restaurants only.
