We got take out poke bowls here. They were huge and very fresh. There was only one vegan option, but you can make your own too. The location is on the edge of town, which is nice if you don't want to battle the crowds of Bar Harbor.

The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, they even gave my shy daughter some stickers to play with. The portions were HUGE, my husband and I each got 2 meals from each of our bowls- I got the vegetarian bowl (it was LOADED) and my husband had a custom bowl, they even had vegan dessert options available. There weren’t a lot of “vegan options” available on the menu, but the fact that you can customize a bowl made it feel like there was a lot to choose from. A few tables inside and more seating outside.

We ate here several times during our trip to Maine as there was not a lot of vegan options. Also most places stopped accepting to go orders. Aloha was always consistent and fast. We made our own bowls which had tofu and several toppings. They are expensive, 19.00 for the bowl, but it is a huge portion. Unfortunately, it seemed that most places were charging this much for non meat options.
Read moreSecond trip to Maine and was excited to have a vegan option. It looks like they moved across the street to a MUCH smaller space. I’m not sure it it’s even ran by same owner. Not as impressed as previous visit as review states earlier. The hours clearly said they were open but we’re not, again not open the next day til later that evening. Called number but it was disconnected. We finally were able to go but it didn’t seem to have same feel. Again food was good, big portion but $20.00.

Aloha allows you to customize your poke bowl with a variety of vegetables, crunchy topping, and vegetable fillings. The gluten free options are clearly labeled, which is very helpful for food allergies. My vegetarian sister and husband got the vegetarian bowl with rice, inari tofu, and lots of veggies. I got a custom bowl with edamame, fried onions, rice noodles, and tons of other yummy veggies. The folks working here are super friendly and create an inviting atmosphere with great Jamaican music. This place is a little off the beaten path and not as crowded as many of the places downtown.

The poke and teriyaki sauce tasted underwhelming, just like from the store, very sweet and nothing special. Bowls are mostly filled with base grain choice, wish there had been more toppings. 2 of our 3 orders came out missing a topping selected
