Vegan friendly Mexican food

Stumbled upon this restaurant on a walk and decided to come back - it was well worth it! They have a section of vegan dishes, we ordered the last four dishes and they were all great!

They didn’t accept credit cards but they accepted pesos and USD cash.

Varias opciones veganas

Great vegan Mexican food

Not sure what's with all the 2 and 3 star reviews - I've been here now a few times over the last couple of trips to Baja and it's consistently great. The description is also incomplete, they have vegan Chile relleno and mushroom tacos.

Pros: Great food, Upstairs outdoor seating area with WiFi , Chips, homemade salsa + cerveza!

Several vegan options. Better options in the area.

I heard about this place from a friend so decided check it out. They have a pretty big menu, with mostly breakfast, several lunch items and a small vegan section (about 5 options) & vegetarian section on the back.

Once we sat down, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who took our order. We asked about happy hour as it says it on the large sign out front, but he explained that it's old and they don't do it anymore. Not a big deal, but glad we asked. He did bring us chips and salsa and said "happy hour" so it seemed like he was trying to make up for it in some way. Appreciate that.

My husband ordered chicken and meat tacos which he said were decent, but he liked the other place we went to instead (he's not vegan).

I ordered the fajitas with almond cheese from the vegan menu. It was pretty good and very filling. The cooked veggies came with a side of black beans and some avocado. I thought they would've came with some tortillas and/or rice too, but maybe that's just an American thing ? Either way, I was stuffed after finishing. And I used the chips to scoop some of the veggies and beans, drizzled some salsa and make my own little concoction. It worked for me LOL.

Overall, the service could've been a bit better. Our waiter disappeared for a while and when he came back it looked like he went to the store LOL. I know we're on Baja time and really didn't mind just hanging out until he got back, but figured it's worth mentioning. The meal was good but I don't think it's worth coming a second time.. especially with so many other vegan options in Todos.

Bad time

I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but want to at least warn folks that the “vegan burger” was served to my boyfriend as runny refried beans and condiments on a bun. It was the most expensive vegan item listed in that section of the menu, so expected a patty maybe? Not just runny beans. And all the food lacked flavor. To top it off, the waitress was uncomfortably rude to us. We tried hard to be so friendly. It kinda ruined our afternoon. We were surprised based on the other reviews.

Fried Mushroom Tacos!!

This was a nice treat. Very friendly family service and the mushroom tacos were crazy good. Happy to see some tacos that weren’t based on mock meat.

Has dedicated vegan section on menu

The owner's wife and daughter are vegan. They have many vegan options on menu. It seems it takes very long time for them to cook anything. When we dined in a group of 6, there was a mystery charge of 150 pesos which we had to fight off.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Slow service

Nice vegan section to their menu

A nice selection of vegan items on their Mexican inspired menu. I enjoyed the mushroom tacos but hadn’t realized they were deep fried. Quite tasty. I also had the vegetable soup, simple and tasty. Both were too much for one person. Next time I’d try the mushroom ceviche.

Great menu, but only okay service

They have a separate vegan and vegetarian section of the menu, which is unusual for this part of Baja. The food was good, but the service just okay. Drinks came fast, but entrees came one at a time over a 30 minute time period.

Hit the craving

We were looking for authentic Mexican food that catered to vegan preferences. They had a solid menu and great options for vegans. We had the vegan fajitas and hibiscus tea.

Good food but too calorie

The service was poor ... but the food for veggies and no veggies was good. Too many calories and sauce for me.

Pros: Tasty

Cons: Don t wait for a description or an advice

I would give it 5 stars but only all vegan restaurants get 5.

When you get the menu, ask for vegan. Everything is so good.

Inexpensive and great! The owners and Many and Alma. She does all the cooking during the day; she vegan and very creative. Many cooks at night.

Nice vibe, clean, upstairs bar.

Many said they are staying open later.

5 stars if I could

It was so good to find vegan Mexican food. The owners run the restaurant day to day and the wife and daughter are vegan, so very knowledgeable about what is vegan/vegetarian. I got tacos with mushrooms and with their homemade tortillas and fresh salsa, they tasted amazing. Then my friend had the vegan chili rellenos and loved it. Highly recommend if visiting Todos Santos and wanting a traditional Mexican meal and a good margarita.

Pros: Nice, knowledgeable owners , Fresh and quality ingredients , Not very expensive

Cons: No tofu or vegan cheese option yet

Good food

Our group ordered the vegan ceviche, chile relleno, and fajitas. All were great. Disclaimer: I didn't ask too many questions about food preparation. There aren't many options in Todos Santos, especially off-season when many of the few other options are closed.

Pros: inexpensive
