What a fall from grace, this place!! Horrible in-store service.. it appears the owner/staff has checked out many years ago. Oh… and don’t get me started on the vegan wings, sadly soaked in a “hot sauce.” They look like stale pumpernickel quarter pieces, overcooked in a broiler… attempting to be a seitan style wing.

Stayed overnight in Buffalo while moving cross country and was so excited to find a local pizza joint that had vegan options. Unfortunately, it was the worst we’ve ever had. Barely any cheese and had bits of unknown toppings. Avoid if possible.

Read moreI got the Buffalo "chicken" pizza and it was bland, barely had buffalo sauce, had a bunch of random veggies, and no vegan blue cheese or ranch. The crust was pretty dry, chewy, and terrible. The Buffalo "chicken" on it was rock hard and pretty gross.
I was pretty excited to get vegan chicken wings too but like the "chicken" topping on the pizza, it was also rock hard and nasty.
It was really sad because they have so many vegan options. My meat eating partner got regular pizza and he reported it was just as terrible. He eats everything and this is the first time I saw him toss pizza in the trash...

I was shocked and delighted how good their vegan pizza was! Of course it’s a Buffalo where it’s hard to find bad pizza, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise!

They really skimp on the cheese and “pepperoni” on the vegan pizza. And the vegan pepperoni isn’t as good as most vegan pepperoni. Crust is like freezer pizza crust too. But they do have a good amount of vegan options at least. Though if the other vegan items are as disappointing as the pepperoni pizza then maybe that’s not redeeming.

I was at a wedding in Buffalo, which ultimately didn’t have vegan food. In the middle of hungry mental breakdown, my boyfriend looked up the best vegan pizza around and found this place by chance.

I got the vegan white based pickle pizza and my life hasn’t been the same since. It’s been legit in my mind so much that I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to plan a trip back to buffalo just to get pizzas from here.

This place has so many different vegan options for pizza! Pineapple BBQ, Buffalo chicken, taco, etc. Plus they have seitan wings (just a giant hunk of seitan) but covered with wing sauce. Wednesday nights are vegan pizza night when a large vegan pizza is $18.75. It’s easy to recommend this place when your friends are ordering pizza, and now you won’t be left out!

This is a solid 7/10 stars kinda place. The pizza is tasty and if you're craving lots of carbs and cheesiness, Allentown won't disappoint!
Read moreThe first time we went, we got a pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni is in chunks rather than slices like a normal pepperoni slice, and it didn't have that strong pepperoni flavor. But it was still tasty and hit the spot! Second time we got the taco pizza and wings, half BBQ and half mild.
The mild wings barely had any sauce at all, and again they weren't exactly like wings, just seitan cubes. The BBQ ones were good, but this is not a "fool non vegans" kinda situation. But as vegans we were happy with the BBQ ones.
With these caveats in mind, Allentown hits the spot when you're craving pizza. It's Buffalo style, which is halfway between a flat NYC style pizza and deep dish Chicago.
Will definitely be going back to try their other pizzas and their garlic knots!

First time ordering here. Got myself a 'traditional' cheese and 'pepperoni'. Ordered a large. Took only 20 mins for pick up which is nice! Taste: light and fluffy. Crust was perfect. Not burnt not undercooked. Perfectly crisp. Sauce was sweet. Cheese wasn't bad. Obviously won't give you that traditional gooey texture but it wasn't bad! Price: excellent value for a specialty pizza! Staff: Very friendly.

Great greasy vegan food. I got the vegan pepperoni, seitan, and cheese pizza with medium seitan wings. Soo good! Especially the seitan wings, you have to try those if you eat here. The pizza crust was really fluffy too. I will be returning when I'm back in Buffalo.

Stopped by for a slice last night as they advertise having vegan slices. When we tried to order them they said they have no more for the night. What?! Why not make more? Our only option was if we wanted to order a large pizza for ourselves. Why not just make one and offer slices for us and other vegan patrons?! We ordered the vegan white pizza and waited 25 minutes for it. The dough was good and nicely flavored but the pizza barely had any tomatoes on it. A white pizza usually has large tomato slices and this had a couple chopped up cherry tomatoes or something. We also wanted some vegan garlic knots and again he stated they don’t have any unless we wanted to order a set of 10 of them and they would make them. Again, why advertise as vegan quick options when you don’t back it up? Disappointed in the staff and service.

This is a great place to stop in for a quick slice if you're boozing on Allen, as their BBQ seitan pizza is always available by the slice. Their pies aren't cheap, but they have a special on large vegan pizzas for $16.95 on Wednesdays, so I'm planning to take advantage of that soon to try their Buffalo "Chicken" Pizza.

Read moreThe cheese is good and an appropriate amount. To the other reviewers, I wouldn't expect it to have the same amount as a dairy cheese pizza, the vegan cheese has a very strong taste, and I think more would overpower the other flavors of the pie.
Speaking of flavors of pie, they have 7 or more types of vegan pizza, everything from Buffalo "chicken" to taco! The menu has a vegan section, it's great to see such variety and so plainly laid out on the menu. Normally you have to hunt and substitute your way around a menu.
The vegan garlic knots are ridiculously delicious!
Pros: Vegan section on the menu, Wednesday is vegan pizza night, Garlic Knots are amazing

A place to buy a slice or a pie - Edit
This place is the real deal -- pizza specially made with meltable, non-dairy cheese. They also make in-house seasoned seitan toppings, in addition to many veggie toppings. Best of all, they make the best vegan garlic knots (to order)I've ever had. It's nice to be able to buy a slice like everyone else, and not have to order a whole pie. Overall, great place to enjoy pizza -- like everyone else!
