Not too bad. A bit expensive - Edit
Lovely service and the food was pretty good. It would be good if there was more protein and not just veggies.

Very good degustation with a letdown - Edit
As an extra special treat on our trip to Adelaide we came here for dinner and wine. It was out second time here and I remembered it being one of the better degustations I’d had. Staff are friendly and engaging but unimposing, which enhances the dining experience. Most dishes were delicious with some standouts as well as some low points. The potato croquettes were skillfully executed and delicious with impressive amounts of flavour. Equally the Jerusalem artichoke dish with its appealing texture and umami flavours. The bread crackers however were problematic: so hard that I experienced dental pain biting and chewing one. Wines were all to my taste, tending towards the crisp, clean and fresh, and even the full-bodied red was not too intense for me. Dessert was a delicious layered cake slice with a nutty gelato (or cream mousse - I’m not sure) and finished things off nicely. The restaurant offers generally one of the best fine dining degustation experiences I’ve had, but this time it was let down by the crackers.
Pros: Generally delicious food , Friendly, unimposing service
Cons: Bread crackers way too hard

Disappointing and overpriced - Edit
While fans of fine dining might enjoy this experience I would not recommend it to anybody who is there for the food.
Read moreServing sizes were comically small and not backed up by extraordinary tastiness to make it worth it. I am quite sure they stretch one carrot to feed ten people.
It felt like being voluntarily burgled, it was lucky they served a decent size of bread to stave of the hunger pangs.
So much better vegan food in Adelaide.
Pros: All vegan menu
Cons: Expensive , Tiny serving sizes

A dream - Edit
Always an absolute pleasure to dine at Allegra, the best vegan degustation in the CBD. Wine pairing is always amazing and the food is divine. Waiters know everything about the dishes and are happy to answer questions or give recommendations. Intimate atmosphere, ideal for a date night or special dining experience with close friends and family. One of my favourite places in Adelaide.

Unbelievably Good - Edit
This was an unexpected bonus in a week of corporate training. The food is SO GOOD. This is a restaurant to take your non-vegan colleagues, friends and family members. Multiple courses. Diverse and delicious. It is simply incredible - fabulous flavours, rich and delightful textures and presentation. Great service. This is very, very good.
Read morePros: Many diverse flavour experiences., Fantastic friendly and professional service., Non-vegetarians/vegans would love this food.

Sets a high bar for what plant based eating experience should be with incredible flavour combinations throughout the degustation menu. I highly recommend this dining experience for vegans and carnivores alike.
