OK but overpriced

I like it here because of the lovely setting (although not when people are fishing! - urgh) but I have to say that I don't massively rate the food and so only usually go for drinks. The vegan breakfast is quite small (2 hash browns, 2 odd tasting sausages, 1 small pot of beans, 1 small flat mushroom and some cherry tomatoes) and the portion of ketchup you get is minute. The triple cooked chips are ok but not great. They have been doing the same two vegan cakes for years (lemon & blueberry and orange, cranberry & pistachio) - they're loaf style cakes with icing and I prefer cupcakes or large Victoria sponge style cakes. The hot chocolate is lovely (they have soya and almond milk available) and they have vegan squirty cream and marshmallows.

Best vegan hot choc deluxe!!

Their vegan hot choc is amazing - it got me through the lockdowns! Lots of marshmallows (not just ones on top for show). Vegan cakes are good too - cranberry and orange or pistachio, there is also a healthy cake that’s vegan if you are lucky (I’ve only found this there once). Vegan breakfast is also amazing. The cafe is totally gluten free and ran by an amazing lady who is very up on health and safety and good at making sure there is no cross contamination or allergy issues so I trust vegan items are safe and vegan !

Pros: Great location , Really nice people, Family run
