Omg the green bowl!!! - Edit
I have gone into alive and well so many times for their food as a non-vegan and now I am on a plant-based vegan diet and I tried the green bowl and holy moly. It was so good. I cannot believe I haven’t had it in my life before literally amazing the perfect combination I love the pickled veggies with everything. It just has so much flavor and you just feel so good after eating it!

I think I’d eat here everyday if I lived here! Vegan breakfast burrito has a gf option, sooo tasty. Loved the taro burger (gf) as well.

Read moreThe small cafe called BROTH is just plain amazing! We ordered the reasonably-priced congee (not common in a non-Asian restaurant) and it was sublime. Total comfort food with so much umami.
The taro banh mi is SO yummy and has perfectly balanced flavors. The only thing we could recommend is that the bread be a bit bigger/wider as it's too skinny for all the goodies that are trying to stay inside!
The desserts in the fridge are out of this world especially the vegan mousses and tapioca puddings.
You guys ROCK!

Read moreThe deli area has a salad counter, hot food counter, prepared wraps and sushi rolls section, and a made to-order sandwich menu. Not everything is vegetarian, but there are vegan choices, like brown rice with warm vegetables, a soup, plus nori wraps, rice paper rolls, and salads. We bought a few varieties of the rolls/wraps to take with us to the airport.

The deli and juice bar have tons of vegan organic options from cold kale or quinoa salad to hot options like a vegan soup of the day (Italian Lentil today was scrumptious) to chickpeas with potatoes, spinach, and coconut milk to raw vegan desserts. All of the prepared food is clearly listed vegan, gluten free, etc and has all of the ingredients listed. They also have green juices and smoothies and a whole market of health food goods. This place is right by the airport so perfect to eat something healthy before a long plane ride. I wanted to give it 5 stars but the app won't let me.

We spent a week in Maui, and after finding Alive and Well we wished we had checked it out sooner. There were not a ton of choices, but those that were available were the best quality we tasted during our stay. The cafe was perfect for take-out, we often grabbed pre-made spring or summer rolls from the cooler, along with raw dips and onion rings (which were phenomenal), and we also ordered from the deli counter. The service was fast and friendly. We especially enjoyed the vegan potato salad, raw kale Caesar salad, and nori wraps. We also enjoyed the raw pies.

Alive and Well Deli and Juice Bar - Edit
This is a cute little deli located within the Alive and Well Store. I ordered the vegan potato salad and three truffles made in-store. The potato salad was good, it's made with veganaise. The truffles are made in-house and were OK. There's something about them that I can't quite put my finger on that slightly detracts me. The truffle I liked best was in the form of a heart, but the others were good for one bite.

We grabbed some fantastic nori wraps from here on our way out of town. They have a great juice menu, too. Lots of fun vegan items and baked goods and chocolates. Not to be missed!
