Sehr leckeres Essen hübsch serviert

Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und werden liebevoll serviert. Der Service ist sehr gut und die Wartezeiten kurz. Schönes Interieur. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung!

Exceptional cuisine

David Rütten presents an extremely healthy, colourful and very tasty cuisine in the ALGE. He makes every effort to ensure that his guests leaves the restaurant satisfied and filled. Here you can enjoy fine dining in a nevertheless very relaxed atmosphere. David has an incredible knowledge of food and ingredients and is happy to explain a few things if you are interested.

You can choose from 6 different courses, alcohol is generally not served. I have been here a few times and every time I was thrilled. Part of the ingredients are from own cultivation like the currently 14 different tomato varieties. Yesterday's 3-course-menu was again a taste explosion! Before you go home you can take some hemp products from the little shop with you like tea, a patty mix or flour.

Leckeres Frisches Essen

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend hier Essen. Es war super lecker und ich war sehr froh ein so tolles veganes Restaurant hier zu entdecken.
Die Atmosphäre ist toll mit der offenen Küche und der Service super freundlich und authentisch.

Amazing vegan cuisine

This is really an experience. The menu and philosophy is completely vegan, the dishes are out together with a lot of thought and you get a real high class restaurant experience in a chill ambiente and for a great price. The owner is also very friendly.

Pros: Completely vegan, Great philosophy , High class out of the ordinary food

Frisch und lecker

In one word: Fantastic

Best vegan dishes we have ever got in a restaurant. Creative, tastefull, healthy. Staff is friendly. Not more to wish for! It is somewhat of a hidden gem in the city, seeing the neighbourhood it is in (lots of pizzerias and fast food joint like that). Only one small problem: you can only pay with cash. An atm is nearby though.

Fine vegan food

We had a 4 course menu with very creative and tasty dishes. I was afraid not to be saturated but we both went home with full stomachs. On top of preparing tasty and nicely decorated dishes the chef manages to use healthy ingredients.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Every dish was presented at the table.

In a restaurant serving beautiful, tasty and over average priced food you might expect white table cloth and silver cutlery. This is not the case at Alge. Instead the chef personally presents the food at the table and makes sure everybody leaves happy and satisfied at the end of the evening.

Reservation recommended.

We will come again and bring omnivore friends and family to show how good vegan food can be.

Herausragend, nicht nur für Mönchengladbach

Wir waren letzte Woche zum ersten Mal hier und es wird nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Hier findet man kreative vegane Küche auf höchstem Niveau zu äußert fairen Preisen. Man hat nicht das Gefühl in einem Restaurant zu sitzen, sondern sich einem kuscheligen liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnzimmer von einem Menschen bekochen zu lassen, der für seine Leidenschaft brennt und sich trotz des kleinen Personalschlüssels noch persönlich Zeit nimmt seine künstlerischen Kompositionen zu erklären. Auf jeden Fall sollte man das Menü bestellen und sich einfach darauf einlassen. Hier werden Veganer wie Omnis gleichermaßen glücklich. Denn am Ende gilt, es gibt nur gutes und schlechtes Essen. Meine omnivore Begleitung hatte zu keinen Zeitpunkt das Gefühl etwas zu vermissen. Danke auch für den Mut so etwas in meiner Heimatstadt Mönchengladbach auf die Beine zu stellen! Gerne wieder!

Gaumenfreude pur!

We zijn speciaal voor dit restaurant vanuit Venlo naar Mönchengladbach gereden om onszelf op een vegane verrassing te trakteren. Kort samengevat: een restaurant als dit is een juweel voor iedere stad, een absolute aanrader en we zijn geen seconde (en geen hap) teleurgesteld.

Al bij binnenkomst valt de vriendelijkheid van de kok, chef, en gastheer (alles-in-een) op en je voelt je meteen thuis.

Wij hebben gekozen voor een 4-gangen-menu, en daar hadden we eigenlijk meteen spijt van want de andere gerechten op de kaart zijn ook allemaal de moeite waard.

Bij het opdienen van het voorgerecht sprongen ons de tranen in de ogen. Wat een lust voor het oog en een feest voor de smaakpapillen. Liefdevol, creatief en vooral heel erg lekker.

Wat een vreugde om te zien dat deze absolute vakman zelfs van een groentespagetthi een culinair hoogstandje weet te maken. De strudel van rode kool die daarna kwam was zo verrassend en smaakvol dat we al tijdens het eten plannen zijn gaan maken om terug te komen.

Gedurende de hele avond heeft de chef persoonlijke aandacht voor al zijn gasten en bij het afscheid spijt het hem oprecht dat we zijn zaak verlaten. Maar niet getreurd, wij komen zeker terug.

Voor de volledigheid: de porties zijn niet te groot, maar precies goed. Je gaat hier met een voldaan en tevreden gevoel vandaan, met een gelukkige maag en met weemoed naar de volgende keer.

Zelfs de verstokte vleesjunk zal moeten toegeven dat dit een van de beste ervaringen op culinair gebied is die er zijn.
