Nothing to eat!

Arrived last night with friends who selected this restaurant because they thought it had a vegan option. The menu from the website shows a Poke bowl in which you can add tofu. When we arrived, we were handed a different menu and told they don’t have the Poke bowl in the Fall. I was left with ordering a plain Beyond Meat burger with a few French fries while my friends had elaborate meals. Please take this place off the list for Cape May….there is nothing to eat!

Pros: View

Cons: No vegan options

Great Tofu

I like the atmosphere here, but there are not many vegan options at all. I had the tofu poke bowl, and it came topped with a sauce that seemed suspiciously non-vegan. The food was good, I just wish they had more options! UPDATE: since this review, they’ve added tofu tacos to the menu & they’re delicious!

The Worst Meal

Went with 6 people. Two of us were vegan. This was horrible for EVERYONE. Would consider this a “bag meal”. Everything comes out of the bag and to your plate - buns, fries, bread - it was all so bland and so horrible. I can’t even describe it.

Not to mention there is a “fake” menu circulating on a website claiming to be this restaurant that has a lot more vegan options than there actually are. Just beware. It was half the right menu and half the wrong menu and the restaurant claims it has no idea.

We spent $250 for the worst meal of all time. Just don’t go. You’re better off heading over to Hot Dog Tommy’s.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Horrible selection, No flavor - so bland , Not worth the price

Perfect spot

The location was so beautiful, right across the street from the beach. The restaurant is charming, and the food was delicious! We got the pasta primavera in garlic and oil and the tofu poke bowl. The pasta was flavorful and decadent. The poke bowl was so fresh and bursting with flavor. Unlike many poke bowls that are very rice heavy, there was a ton of tofu and exciting toppings, which made the dish all the more delicious. They also served bread with oil and roasted garlic rather than butter, which was a wonderful plus. I absolutely recommend!

Eh.. it's food.

Pasta Primavera with oil & garlic was pretty bland. I asked for marinara on the side and was happy I did as it added some flavor.

Pros: Vegan Options

let down

We had high hopes because of the vegan options on the menu. The risotto with mushrooms was good. But quality of food was not representative of high prices. The black bean burger was mushy and salads were drenched in dressing. The service and waitress was excellent. But, we were expecting higher quality than what was served.

Pros: excellent service , vegan options

Cons: tacky decor

unexpected pleasure

This is the sort of resort restaurant that we're trained to ignore, but this one has a vegan section to the menu with creative entrees. I had a vegan quinoa Buddha bowl with seitan and my wife had veggies in puff pastry with wild mushrooms over vegan risotto. Ask for the roasted garlic and olive oil for the bread instead of butter.

Pros: creative vegan choices

Cons: sea creatures also being served
