Enough vegan options - Edit
They have quite some vegan opties. Not that much 'traditional' food, but to me that's not much of a problem.
Read moreI really liked the mousaka (I even went back the other day to have it again).
Very friendly staff, their English is good enough to explain veganism.

great restaurant that I will definitely visit again. Typical Jordanian also what the people are concerned, just adorable. Thank you Baha Asri - Edit
In search of a good restaurant I came across the Al Wadi. The restaurant was well filled but I got a seat (for groups I would recommend a reservation). Since I am a vegetarian, I always try to find a restaurant that has authentic meatless menus. The food was fantastic and especially the fresh bread was first class. I was served by Baha Asri, an absolutely friendly waiter who recommended a typical Jordanian dish. Since I was sitting outside and it was getting a bit chilly, he even brought me a blanket so I wouldn't be cold during the meal.

The best food I had in Jordan - Edit
The Maklouba is highly recommended. After a long whole day of hiking, going to Al Wadi was the best decision we could make. I didn’t want to settle again with falafel 😌.
Read moreThe warm just-made pita was amazing.
It’s more expensive than the average, but it’s absolutely worth the price.
Pros: Friendly service, (Be patient when asking for ingredients), I loved the mint tea ☕️

Ottimo e consigliatissimo ristorante! - Edit
Ottimo e consigliatissimo ristorante!
Pros: Cibo eccellente, Personale amichevole baha asri

It might be the only choice for vegans but it's not a bad one. The staff is super nice and welcoming. I even got free tea.

Good vegetarian and vegan options - Edit
Might be the only restsurant in Petra with a bigger choice of vegetarian and vegan options besides the usual hummus, baba ganoush, etc. Nice place and friendly staff.

Cozy restaurant - Edit
The falafel sandwich is delicious, the Maklouba is a rice dish with vegetables, and rice cooked in a casserole. The service is great. The owner was excited about the existence of the Happycow website.
