Buone opzioni, un po’ fuori mano - Edit
Le opzioni sembravano tutte molto appetitose e ci ho messo un po’ a decidere. 😅 Tuttavia il posto è fuori mano, 20-30 minuti a piedi dal centro storico. Se si vuole fare una passeggiata, lo consiglio sicuramente. Ho preso un secondo e un contorno con acqua pagando circa 17€. Menù aggiornato in foto.

A nice local spot, however, if you're looking to go just for vegan cheese on a pizza... I wouldn't recommend, sadly. It's about 25 minutes walk from the historic center and the amount of cheese on a vegan Margherita was very underwhelming - about a table spoon across the whole thing 😒 Sadly not worth it.

Vegan pizza off the beaten track - Edit
If you’re willing to venture 15 minutes off the beaten tourist track in Matera, you’ll find some fairly good vegan pizzas here. The vegan cheese is homemade so it doesn’t have the sickly flavour of many commercial vegan cheeses. A litre of red wine for €7 is a bargain when compared to the €5 I paid for a glass of inferior wine in the town centre. It feels like a place for locals, rather than tourists, which gives the place a nice feel.

Great choices of vegan pizzas - Edit
The place is located out of the busy, noisy and often overcrowded and overpriced city center. Here you get the "eat like a local" treatment so quality and prices will be better mixed together.
Read moreWhat's so great about the pizzeria is definitely that is roomy, so it can welcome big groups easily, and that they dedicated part of the menù to completely vegan choices.
The pizzas are great and they put delicious vegan cheese on top! I suggest to experiment and explore with the options for the different doughs they have too.
Only bummer that is making me take a star down is that they never have vegan desserts available, although they said that if you book well in advance they can make them for you. Up until now I haven't been able to plan when to go there but I've been just crashing by without notice, so I wasn't able to check if it's true or not.
