Fresh and properly prepared - Edit
The only vegan burget was a lentil burger that came with guacamole, tomato, lettuce, fried onions, and a tomato curry sauce that I subbed for BBQ sauce. It came on a yummy bun with a side of potato wedges. The flavors worked perfectly together. The onions were caramelized as described on the menu. The BBQ sauce was sweet and smoky. The lettuce was nice, leafy greens, not boring and flavorless head lettuce. The burger was nicely seasoned, too. The serving size was generous, and the service was fast and easy.
Read moreThe restaurant was clean and attractively decorated. The bartenders were friendly, and my drink was delicious (Amaretto sour-first place I've found Amaretto Disaronno on this trip to Iceland.)

One good option - Edit
They have a single vegan burger on the menu, the HC description is out dated it seems.

Good burgers - Edit
It was busy when we were there, but the service was reasonably good. We enjoyed our Thai burgers and fries, and they had a nice selection of beers.

Good option in Akureyri - Edit
My wife and I tried both vegan burger options. Her burger (Thai )had mushy consistency but the roasted potatoes were great. My burger was excellent although the dip for the potatoes was not vegan. Not a lot of options around so you take what you can get.

As if no one was working - Edit
I just popped into this place, previously I searched HappyCow for vegan options in Akureyri. A few tables were taken, the staff was busy flirting with each other, and I did not get a menu card. The vegan burgers patty was dried out and the potato wedges were nearly burnt.

Good athmosphere - Edit
Akureyri backpackers have a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options. They are very accommodating to vegetarians and can change their sandwiches, burgers etc to your needs. They also have clearly marked vegan options on the menu.

Delicious burgers - Edit
Happy to find this bar/restaurant/hostel/traveler's resource in Akureyri. We had both the Vegan Thai Burger and the Vegan Cheese Burger. Both were tasty and came with some really nice roasted potatoes. Very filling and a nice change from camping food! They also had soymilk for coffee. Also a couple of other vegetarian options in a separate section on the menu.
